Evanescence started in 1994 and as far as I know the bands that you're talking about started about 1997.Evanescence look and sound completely different from all these bands and that's why I think they can't be compared. Gosh, you're writing stupidity. Around the time of Nightwish's formation (1996) _no_ band combined operatic leading vocals and metal (Therion did similiar stuff, but that was more choral). Evanescence's first album came out when Nightwish already had 4, toured the whole world several times, and released a live dvd. No one knew they exist in Europe. And there are several angel statues like that in cemeteries all over the world.
