I'm just wondering, but how much would it cost to make one of these with Paper Mario? Or maybe a Sonic Adventure 2 Dreamcast?
If it's not TOO much and you have time I may think about it, as Paper Mario is literally the only game I care about playing directly on an N64, which I no longer have one (brother took it, it was his anyways but he moved out) same with Adventure 2, otherwise I have no problem playing other games on emulators.
excellent looks like a shop promo of a dedicated golden eye release.... sort of like the namco plug and play you get in the shops...... i bet alot of n64 collectors are salivating over this build....
I'd not played the game until testing the system, although i've had it in my collection for ages - it's a pretty good game actually, probably better than more modern equivalents, so i'm not surprised the buyer (commissioner) loves playing that game with his friends!
New games are Call of Duty 303 or whatever it's up to now; or yet another franchise of an existing game; retro systems had gameplay, which is hard to get now; there are some new games with excellent gameplay and replay value, however probably less than 5% of games are in that category IMO. Consider new games, ask the question - will I play it again in a year's time - if the answer is "no", well, that's no replay value!
Indeed, proves the point! There are tens of thousands of retro games, and many are very good; and also very cheap to buy! Only games i'm interested in recent years are Mario Galaxy, and the new Zelda game on the Wii - Skyward; that's not many!
Thanks - I had toyed with a different style of case (a Rummikub travel case) but frankly, would not have looked anything as good, and also, hacking down the size of the N64 original case made the end system look very much like it derived from an N64, which after all, is what this is - it is only able to play Goldeneye on the N64; which is what the buyer wanted.
Actually, £210 including tracked postage to the USA for the buyer. This system only needed about half the work of a portable, so charged him half the rate; seemed fair.
needs some gold controllers to go with it

Could you do 2 games into one system?
If I had the money (aka HOW MUCH!??!?!111), I would look into one of these 2:
1. Mischief Makers (colors: White, green and red in priority order/Also add logo to badge)
2. Dual Zelda (OOT v1.0 and Majora/Colors: Gold/Add Hylian crest to badge/make LED yellow)
Could I also have both have the name above the (now removed) cart slot?
Please PM me back on details, thanks!

I think it would be nice if you modded a DS lite to play regular gameboy and gameboy color games.

But how do you blow on the cartridge?
FORDboy357 3 months ago
And does it blend!
No need to blow on the cartridge, it has been permanently soldered to the connections via wires.

It was quite easy to build actually, and a fun little project.
Buyer loved it, which is what's important!
