Simple, it means that the server you are trying to access cannot send and/or maintain an efficient feedback signal.

In other words, you're most likely trying to access a serve in Japan from America.

you have never seen a win2k boot from a normal hdd, right? otherwise you would know that this was very fast for win2k circumstances

he is right, that was very fast for windows 2000. you changed the harddrive right ? not even my computer was that fast when i had windows 2000 but now i use windows vista. it's very fast and i like the theme =)
