I did this a couple of times while looking for easier ways to pull off the infinite coin glitch. I even tried to throw in the hat glitch in any way I could think of. No luck, unfortunately =(.
Chuckya didn't vanish, because the game recognizes chuckya as still alive, when Mario swims through the loading point, chuckya respawns at his usual position. The reason why chuckya didn't vanish when he went through the loading point was because when the game was made, chuckya wasn't programmed with the physics to trigger the loading point, unlike Mario. Hope this helps anyone that doesn't fully understand this trick. 5 stars
What a neat glitch! I have done the original "Chuckya glitch" many times, where you swim through the pipe and it transforms (I got it to turn into a red coin, and I got all the other coins on that level for a coin score of 154), but I could never perform that oddity you did when you fell into the hole with Chuckya holding you! o_O Amazing! I guess he disappears because Wet-Dry World is mapped to three geometries, and Chuckya vanishes since he's part of the objects list for the main area...? 5/5

Aparently the Chuckya was sick of Mario and wanted to leave, so it used it's magical chuck-ya-powers to vanish. O.o
