I watched a show like this not sure if it was this one or not, However the mothers must have less then year sentence left in jail to be able to keep there baby there. If you sentence is that small chances are you are not a murder. You might have robed a liquor store or something. The area where moms and baby's stay are really nice not actual cells. There very careful about who keeps there baby's you still have to be approved mentally and everything.

i think its wrong,.. i mean saying i was born and raised in prison isnt good youd rather say i was bron in this hospital and raised by my folks at home etc...
Hopefully they only allow women who are in prison on smaller charges keep their babies. People guilty of things like theft or identity fraud vs. those guilty of murder.
Why should they be allowed to keep their kids? And how can it possibly be fair on the kids for that matter? Personally, i think the whole idea of allowing prisoners, who could be murderers, paedophiles and pretty much manics, to keep their kids once they've gone to jail is sickening. They made their choice, they shouldnt have the satisfaction of being able to raise a child. That is a privilage and a responsibility.
These women should be put on birth control or something! Come on...if they want it easier then their going to DO THIS!
