The motion picture completely fits to the song, the empty chors, the monotone voice, the much resticted vocabluary. They both are just great. Please don't add anything to it. It's in perfect harmony. Adding a single hick could destroy it. I love and appreciate it as it is.
but this dude in the video needs some weed bad, ASAP

Hey, I'm for the legalization of marijuana as much as the next guy, but you don't have to go to extremes. Medication has helped a lot of people, and it is the only treatment for unipolar depression. Big pharma is a double-edged sword.
What do you use to do this flash movie ? It's really great. I would like to do a flash movie like this one but I have no idee how to do. Can you help me ?
some of this guys music is so great... I love how he did it himself.. always had a thing for them types of artists.. R stevie moore.. guided by voices... meh nice vid
This is wonderful pop music. I just started listening to this guy the past hour. I had heard of him since i went to school in Austin. Last year on NPR they talked about him constantly for a while.
I walked past his giant "Hi, How Are You" drawing on a wall every day for 5 years, had no idea who did it. I probably pondered it a dozen times, figured some random dude did it.
This is my favotite song of his so far. Kind of reminds me of The Band.
You know, with a little more going on in the animation, like the little bird sort of thing, I could picture that video being used for this song on music channels today. Nice job man.
i know johnston influenced a huge part of the 90´s music movement. People compare him with Dylan, although he didnt help spark a revolution like Dylan, but maybe his disease held him back, or maybe it´s what made him great.
nonetheless, Daniel Johnston is known to have an obsession with the devil, and believes all human life to be a struggle between the forces of G-d and Satan.
Its all a part of his mental illness. Still, a great, original, truly visionary artist, in my humble opinion. God bless you, DJ.
i also held the hand of Satan, and we skipped through the park picking daisies and singing of blue-birds in the spring. Then he asked me, "do you love me?" and i was like, "whaaa?" and then he tried to touch me and i started crying. Then he bit me, and mama was screaming. I spent some time in a hospital where nice doctors tried to help me get better.
i love this so much it is a perfect video for this song
i loved the song going in and love it twice as much now!!! seriously this is great. funny touching and strange all at the same time. hands down my favorite thing on you tube.

Good one, first time I've seen it. If you like D. Johnston run a search for Casper the friendly ghost. It's an infectious little tune.

This is from the album '1990', I like it but wish it were longer, b/c the chord progression is good enough to add more onto it.
