great info guys! I was doing the parallel drum tracks already, works awesome. However, I found that lowering the levels and doubling each of them again and sometimes again for six tracks. Three with no effect, three with affect. Then pan one set of three slightly to the left and the other slightly to the right. Open the mixer within your software and be sure each of the drum tracks is below the -3db threshold. Then, save that mix down as the final drum track. :)
I've been searching and searching for a video like this... straight to the point, simple, itemized bullet-points... AWESOME!!! Thanks you so much for posting this video (part 1 and 2)... It's like everyone who wants to know about mixing and mastering aren't really ignorant of the process, but neither are we pros that know what to look for... With your video, I'm able to see my mixes a little more clearly on what to do and not to do. Thanks!
Thanks dude. Very good and helpful video. I just think that no home studio recording artist can afford neither 1.200 $ or 4000$ (and up) equipment and that's why people using MOTU, M-Audio etc. I mean give me 30.000 bucks and trust me, I'll make it sound great. :-)
Thanks

Cool, helpful tips. I just wish the narration wasn't so slow paced since my attention span is so short. Other than that though, great stuff.
