I wanted to take a break from wow and I'm trying this, so far im not to impressed. The force moves all seem to do the same thing..And the Combat is annoying.Probably cause im learning it
From PC point of view this game was a huge disappointment. From looting enemies that you kill a mile away, to lack of video settings leading to headaches w. poor graphics. The vehicle you ride is the most awkward unrealistic part of the game, the projectiles fired @ you in the vehicle is a big joke, move left or right to dodge. The dialog feels like its been dumbed down for a 8 year old, but this game is rated R18. I can't expect much from a Xbox port game trying to pass by as RPG.

Dude it completely depends on what you prefer as a gaming device. Are you a console gamer, or do you prefer handhelds? Personally the 360 is the way to go as it has many more benefits for your gaming needs. The DS is good, don't get me wrong, but it only works for short bursts and I found that the pokemon games are all pretty similar. So basically this whole rant is telling you to get the 360.

Did you mention the stuttering framerate in this review? Or the shallow gameplay with no real satisfaction? Or the tedious wandering around the citadel looking for exclamation marks because youve got several tedious threads running at once....or the constant repetitive loading screens?.....or the ridiculous menu system breaking the flow....or the stupid amount of upgrade tweaks. I paid £7 for this and Wasnt happy paying that amount!
You just needed to turn on VSync and crank up the graphics. This runs smooth on my laptop but I have a 9800m gs. Loading is pretty fast too. This isn't for slow PCs/notebooks and old gpus.
This is the latest Bioware, as in KOTOR, NWN, etc. You will always have too much stuff to do if you aren't into all the upgrading and options. Not a run and gun game by any means.

Yes its not run and gun but Im a little disappointed in the action mechanics which could have been done much better. I hope a M E 2 improves on the glitchy issues.

Mass Effect has a great story, the gameplay is lacking a little though, the combat system could be done better and the game gets glitchy at times... Hopefully Mass Effect 2 will fix those issues :)

I flipped the mako several times. and it can ride over any terrain, at almost 90 degree angles, because the mako has a Mass Effect drive which can alter its mass and how gravity effects it.
Here is my Mass Effect review. I played though the main game until I got to a part where ashley had to arm a nuclear bomb. I was supposed to go rescue Kaidan. I ran around in circles for an hour, trapped in an area the size of a football field. All of the doors were locked, and I couldn't figure out what where the hell to go. So I took the game to gamestop and traded it.

Mass effect's DRM give you 3 lifetime installations, EVER!! ok so how will this fight piracy? Either I buy the game and am limited to 3 lifetime installations or i go pirate and download/copy and install it whenever, where ever, and as many times as I like... I will NOT buy the game because of the hassle and if I ever pirate the game (I won't), EA has lost a sale regardless. smart people workin at that there company.
I know this game is great and a lot of people love it but I have issues about the PC version. This game looks awesome and probobly deserves 10 out of 10 but gets point off for the unreasonable DRM, which I consider similar to horrible program bugs or like buying a great luxury car and finding out that the car you bought was a lemon. That said, I'll pass on mass effect...with disappointment and sadness. I WANT to play these games but I dont HAVE to buy these games.

Beating the game means you can use your same character (Level/Equipment) to start a new game, preferably on a harder difficulty.

I think I'll get this for the PC. There's nothing wrong with the 360 version, it's just that the PC version seems to be a bit better.

better graphic(gtx 9800=boom!!),better control,no need to pause all the fucking time to use your bio power(quick slot)+the download content for mass effect for pc is FREE,lol!!

lol tool but this game is the best single player expirience I've ever had. 9.6 for me. never played the old republic.

"twist" ahaha. Good review. Mss effect is so awesome. I just beat it tonight and can't wait to go back and play as a chick. I can't believe I missed the sex scene.
