She was one of the North West First Nation Dancers =D SO proud of her!!
Spectacular! This we the best part of the whole ceremony. It beat Ashley McIssac and KD Lang by far. To the native people of Canada, miigwetch! (Ojibwe for thank you)

it was not stolen land. i should know im first nations. natives took part in this olympics so we gave the olympic commitee permission to hold the 2010 olympics on native land.
Loved this ... as a Skin in the States ... I was happy to see this portion in the Opening Ceremonies ... sometimes - we go unnoticed - but not that night.
This is my first time seeing this from this view, Proud to say I was one of the fancy shawl dancers that came out of the East, representing Indian Brook First Nation, Nova Scotia, Mi'kmaq. Thank you for sharing. =)
@Nsane2009 ,If the olympics were held on stolen sacred native land, why are native people helping Canada to celebrate the olympics,i don't get it ,would it be called "collaboration"? no solidarity!
Wow! this was so enjoyable. To showcase the First Nations in the Opening Ceremony was a fabulous idea. To see the "Chiefs" of Canada all sitting together too was a phenomenal sight! Let's hope we see more of the gentle people involved in current affairs.
