This masterpiece comes from hard times (the 68, Vietnam war, etc), where creativity was everything.

The Stones have been managing the arrangement of this song for half a century, this means they edited tens of different versions, on which Richards expressed the highest talest as creative , here including the Wino's version (greatest). Although Mick Taylor contributed heavily.

And he was several orders of magnitude greater than this gravelly voiced, try hard, pub kareoke version . His performance, charisma, stage presence doesn't come close. No finesse. And I like Kelly, he's done some great covers. But tackling the Beatles or the Stones exposes a one dimentional, imitation singer.
