hey buddy :) i love your videos and i just felt like i would make the effort to help you with the fact that not all your memory is showing up (just showing 1.99 gb) the reason is, is that there is a certain amount of memory re-routed to your Graphics processor or your os. basically if you would like you use the full 2 gigs you need to disable memory re-mapping so all the memory will be used for applications. hope this helped :)

but also, 64-bit consumes more resources and as a result ends up being slightly slower on the same resources as 32 bit.

e.g. win7 home premium 32 would run faster on 1GB than 64 bit would.

its pretty hard to explain but ( correct me if im wrong) if you have 1gb and vista =slow. and more ram better multi task. but still if you have 3 gb and 6 gb you cant see difference in regular use

Asus netbooks are awesome. I purchased a 1005HA a few weeks ago and it is fantastic. I also upgraded to 2GB of RAM. It had plenty of pep, the battery lasted all day, it was so portable, and it was sexy!

When i bought mine at march 2009 , i thought that any 2GB ram stick will be alright and they are the same but i just found out that NO they are not all the same

Mine was a samsung 2GB 667MHz and its process was very slow and i really hate it .

Until when i watched this video and it uses a corsair 2GB 800 MHz and i went to bought it to try , then i found something really obvious is that the booting time is 29 secs faster.

i was able to boot in to GUI when the welcome screen pops out.

Just as a pointer. The ram wont be faster then the one inside cause it all depends on the FSB (front side buff) of the CPU/Motherboard. You wont get more speed of it cause its faster, only way to get that is by overcloking you cpu by raising the FSB. So you should have stayed with the recommended speed mate.

Also forgot thoose 800mhz are only if you run in dual channel. When runing a singel stick of ram like you do it will only run in 400Mhz if FSB is high enough.

I have the same netbook, I love it! I like all of the multitouch functions the mouse pad has. That was a sweet touch, no pun intended. The only thing I don't like is the fact that you can not tell if you're in caps lock or num loc, other then that it's a great netbook.

It always says  .01 less than what it means. I never know why. But my laptop says 0.99 for my RAM and my main computer says 1.99 for RAM.

And I think my desktops processor (it's kinda old so yeah) says 2.99 even though it's a 3.00Ghz

It is 1.99 ram because it takes 64MB??? for the shared video memory. I am sure you can adjust the settings in the bios for 32mb /64mb/ 128 shared memorey for video display,

I recommend using NHC- NotebookHardwareController. You can set all the cpu Settings. Maxperformance on battery power. It will DRain / Kill ur battery but a price to pay for performance

Why do you need 2GB of ram on netbook? I use my EeePC 1000 a lot (even to watch movies on tv via PC port) and it always runs fine (even with 24" monitor and big LCD TV). It runs slow only on HD video content, but it's CPU and GPU stuff, not so important for netbook.

btw Carlos, I have heard that windows 7 runs very smoothly on netbooks compared to vista which runs heavy and bulky, Windows 7 is a great OS i have been using it on my ASUS g50 laptop.
