It's foolish to assume that Motown was known for a "black sound," or that one even exists for that matter. But I agree that the song does not resemble a typical Motown song. Maybe russianbear0027 was considering the similarities between the use of guitar in "If She Wants Me" and the riff from the Jackson 5 song "I Want You Back." Though these may be similar, I do not see a derivative here.

@jesse825cool yeah it is, there's an obvious influence from Motown in the instrumentation. Check out 'Dirty dream number two' by them, if you haven't, its a good example.
