  • Should be called Monster made put in a box (burp)

  • At @0:30 he has an orgasm.

You can't deny it. The monster has needs too.

  • At the beginning, cookie monster has an orgasm.

You can't deny it. The monster has needs too.

  • jajajajaja

  • wow.. cookie monster is sooo educated..

  • Funny! Too cute! :) I have always loved Cookie Monster. "Coook-eeeees!" LMBO!

  • No Ego Problem There hahaha

  • Cookie is a much better playwright than Spalding.

  • I agree. I also agree with Cookie Monster that it's silly that Spalding writes the script but doesn't know what "In" means. Makes me wonder why Cookie even hired this bloke.

  • "No ego problem there. One monster show." I love it.

  • I want to see Monster Swimming to Cambodia

  • "No ego problem there..." CLASSIC!

  • lol at :19 "Good texture."

  • ROFL

  • One .you put ur "moster " in a box. two u make her open the box. 3 monster pop out the box and that how ya do it with a monster in a BOX

  • Love the way Alastair munches in time to the last part of the theme music!

    "Box in a monster...hahahaha!"

  • Me soo sad,me miss my youth, I have to go now and get that fiddler off me roof

  • Are you referring to "Fiddler on the Roof"?

  • I love the google eyes!

  • I remember cookie monster eating a box on montserpiece theater once.......this might have been it!!!

  • SPALDING!!!!

    Box in a monster. :P

  • Monster in a Box is my favourite Spalding piece.

    "Good morning! We love Russia!"

  • I liked the part of when Cookie went off camera to shove Spalding into the box!

  • I love when Alistair Cookie eats an empty box in this sketch.

  • I remember seeing this one in Spanish.

  • Does anybody know what piece of theater this is supposed to be?

  • This is called "Monsterpiece Theater," a parody of "Masterpiece Theater."

  • When I first heard Monster in a box I was excpecting Spalding to pop out like a jack in the box.

  • BOX IN A MONSTER!!! ^^ LOL

  • hi thanks for the video man

and i wanna knew what is the name of the music

    at the beginning

i knew it's british but i dont knew what is it called

  • I'd like to see what they'd have done with the movie "Monster"

  • what happened to the union jack flag beginning?

  • They stopped it in the late 80s. In about 1987or 1988, this intro was used until 1992, then a green curtain intro was used until 1995, then the Monsterpiece Theatre finished alltogethor.

  • the end of an era :( me feel so sad me going to eat a whole box of chocolate chip cookies at once!

  • 95? thats when i was born!

  • That's great!

  • Too bad they can't go on now that Sesame Workshop is too cheep at work. They could do great Monsterpiece Theatre skits to recently made movies. :(

  • Sesame Workshop has been having financial problems since the 90's, don't be too harsh on them by calling them cheap.

  • Well the old stuff was better in those days.

  • Was I the only one that cried a bit on the inside when they panned over the photo of Kermit the Frog?

  • Nope. You weren't.

  • do u have fiddler on the roof? and much ado about nothing?

  • I believe "Marshal Grover" has "Much Ado About Nothing". And he said that he's going to upload it when he possibly can.

But I'm still not sure about "Fiddler on the Roof". So therefore, if you find anybody that has that sketch, please be sure to have them upload it for me and everyone else (including you).

  • i just found out fiddler on the roof is on the sesame street video player

  • Okay, then.

  • I never said that.

  • Comment removed

  • Okay. But I was just confused about the reply you gave to me on "The Sun Also Rises" as a result of which I saw that one in Spanish. And... I thought you were replying to me as of uploading "Much Ado About Nothing"

So once again... I'm teribbly sorry, MarshalGrover.

  • "No ego problem there." LOL Cookie Monster's remarks on these things always crack me up!

  • this is almost exactly like little house on/in/under Prarie

  • Thansk for being my 1st subscriber!

  • Could you upload "Conservations with My Father"?

  • "Sesame Street" has already uploaded that sketch.

  • I know. That's why I'm happy. But unfortunately, Cookie's dad hasn't made any more appearances since then.

  • That's great! And BTW, it seems like it was the first and only appearance of Cookie Monster's father on that "Monsterpiece Theater" sketch.

Like you said... Cookie Monster's father didn't appear in any other sketches, so therefore you must be right.

  • Jerry Nelson still does Sesame Workshop work, so if I can contact him, I'll ask him to bring him back. I gave Cookie's dad the name Theodore.

  • Okay, then.

  • Cookie Monster:You don,t know "In" and you wrote this? LOL Good point. :)

  • Yeah, I'd like to know what kind of a playwright Spalding thinks he is!

  • Yeah that,s why I thought Cookie Monster had a good point. It,s just silly if you write the script and you don,t know what the word means.

  • And the fact that the whole play lasts five seconds.

  • Heh-thanks for the information,Garrettk41-now this parody makes even more sense.

  • Specifically, the real 'Monster in a Box' is an account of Gray's experiences trying to write a novel.

  • Oh my gosh I love this guy C is for Cookie!!!

  • I remember this! I guess it has been taken out of Sesame Street by now. I dunno. I'm 18 years dammit....lol

  • Yes-thank you! I love this one! Spalding means "Gray"

  • Well, not exactly. The gray monster named Spalding is a parody of the late Spalding Gray who was a monologue performer. I wrote a report about him for a class I recently took. He was a very fascinating figure. "Monster in a Box" is the name of one of his monologues.
