Heh, that's the first time in a while that I've heard DAD referred to as an "alternate tuning" - that's pretty cool. : ) My student did show up - what a nice setting for a lesson! He even bought me lunch afterwards - that NEVER happens!
Free food! I've played my dulcimer for free beer as entertainment at a brewery, but I don't think I've gotten free food for playing. (Unless I cound the dozen funerals I'd played at.)
Awesone dulcimer shirt! Where did you get that? Also, since it's a dulcimer podcast, why don't you have a dulcimer play the theme music? ;) Thanks for the awesome video!
My wife got me that shirt - I love it! Also, I'm going to have a contest to find a string band that will play an acoustic version of the theme I'm using (which is actually a piece of music from Epcot at Walt Disney World.)
Don't let Disney chase after you for royalties! Mickey Mouse and his goons got after a little kid for illegally downloading Disney tunes a while back! LOL
This tune's never been officially released and is no longer used in the park; it's from the old 1982 opening suite. I really used it as a filler until I had found something else, and I've been lazy about coming up with another intro. I'm gonna work on that. : )
Love this song and the way you play it!

So where's the PodCast from Nutmeg? It's been two weeks since this last episode. Some of us check everyday for a new podcast. Q

I just saw this today. I'm doing better. Really. Thinking about doing a series of shows - all the stuff I haven't shown yet.

I learned this song in Ionian (DGdd), so it's cool to see this done in an alternate tuning! Thanks so much for that!
Hey - Did your student ever show up?

Bing, How do you have your ducimer tuned? I am a DAA mostly, but probably should learn DAD. Thanks, Jan

I'm in DAD, but I'm glad you're in DAA. It's good to learn more than one mode, but don't give up on the DAA!
