  • I have a 1982 honda gl silverwing 500cc but no pictures on youtube. Nice bike.

  • dude i have a 83 silverwing gl 650 turbo..these are good bikes

  • @jeremy0156, they are great bikes, i didn't want to sell my bike but it was going to cost me well over 1700 bucks to get the electrical fixed and new alternator installed in the bike engine, to get the alt. the engine has to come off the bike and taken apart just to get to the alternator, crazy

  • i found a bike shop over the weekend that can get me everything i need for it.. its a Kawasaki shop but they can order everything i need.. i got new mirrors for it this weekend next tires and a brake job

  • @bootleg12576, thats great news, glad you found a bike shop that can help with your needs for your silverwing :) keep them running alive

  • Your bike looks way better than mine...A friend gave it to me as a gift.. I,m having a hard time finding parts for it though... ill have to upload a vid so you can see it

  • @bootleg12576, having a hard time getting parts for it?? wow, i never had any problem with getting parts for mine, unless something serious like fender luggage ETC

  • i dont have to use the choke on my silverwing.. it will fire right up.. they are great bikes

  • @bootleg12576, i usually don't use the choke either, i used the choke on this one, so i can get a good running video of it, when i start it up the next day, i just start it and go without the choke,

  • i have that exact same bike just with a few minor differences. i took all the radio and speakers off of it.. my exhaust is way louder though.. they are really nice bikes

  • @bootleg12576, i don't use the radio on this one also, i just kept the speakers on this one, my honda shadow bike i got, has straight pipe and runs louder and no radio on it either, the better

  • Yes, i can send it to your email. Today i have discovered that it is 1982.

  • Ok. First. I have red spoting bulb on the right side of the bottom of the speedometer. i dont know what it means! If you did not understand me, i can send You a photo.

  • ok, could be 3 different things, oil pressure, alternator, or taillight is not working, if you have a photo of it that would be great, what year is your bike?

  • The red light you speak of should be the suspension air pressure warning light, if it stays on it means your suspension is low on air.

  • ok, check the suspension seals and see if it's leaking oil, if it is, replace the seals and it will hold air, i had to replace it once

  • Hi from Russia! I have gl 400 Wing Custom... I can not find any manuals about this bike because of it i have to ask you))) Can you answer some my questions please?

  • i'll try my best to answer the question you have

  • hah i like how ppl put those flags on

  • yea, now with my new bike i got, i have nop way of mounting the flags on the back of the bike.... owell ill figure out a way ;)

  • Hey Bro!

Sent you a video of my Silverwing! Keep them running!

  • hey sup.... i got the video and seen it.... now going to post a comment on it.... have you seen my new honda shadow?? if not it's in my video, and ride safe!

  • hi.. im from the Philippines.. we are one of the few lucky one to own it hir.. its a very good bike but the problem is the spare part. my dad has an accident and he some how damage the front mugwheels.there is a replacement but it cost a fortune.. but to sum it all, its a goog bike!

  • beautiful bike man, my grandpa died and left me this bike. cept an 83. it doesnt run but im gonna get a battery and clean it up and we'll see what happens. it has been sitting for about 9 years at least under a covered area.

  • I had one in 1981(brand new 2600dollars cnd) swapped it for a 66 malibu convertible, not my best move, great bike.

  • Hye from france and sorry for my english, i have one but no the same colour mine is grey, it have 88000 kilometers and start at first and i have no problem with it, it's my first bike and i hope keep it for a long time ! have a long road with your bike ! bye bye !

  • oh i will, it runs like a new bike with no problem, those things run forever

  • Hey, I have one, same color too! Three weeks ago I took it on a trip from Toronto to Princeton, NJ, then Annapolis, MD, and back to Toronto. Flawless performance, through thunderstorms too numerous to count followed by two magnificent perfect days on the way back. No buzz passing trucks at 80 mph on the Interstates, but I prefer highways like US 206 at a more sedate speed.

  • i know, i took it on the interstate and it ride like a dream and i cannot complain about it getting at 50 mpg in any way you go it always have a yearly work on it like ,new back tire, brakes checked, oil changed, and every 2 years tune up, front tire and brakes and i always ride in the cold season, as long there is no snow or ice i will ride year round

  • My 2 cents (I own the same bike) - These were great cruisers when they came out in the 80's, and they really haven't changed motorcycles that much over the years. So, a good bike then is a good bike now.

  • yes they are, they do run forever when you treat them right, have you seen the new silverwing scooters yet?

  • I've seen them; I have never ridden a scooter.

  • ok, i dunno if they are any good than these classic silverwings
