Nice, now work on expressive phrasing next... I'm trying to play this thing after the DGX-520 and others and I'm mashing my fingers to a pulp trying to get equivalent sounds out of this thing; I'm dubbing the phenomenon 'progressive regression'- when you have a superior design and don't know it, then someone suggests it should be more like an old design"- it's like a smooth-riding car, then someone comes along and says, "Oh, it should ride more like a Model T, let's remove the shock absorbers!"

I am curious if the 620 has a more realistic touch than the 520... more like a traditional piano? I have purchased the 520 but find the touch spongy and am thinking of trading up if the 620 offers more... are there additional features as well?

Keys are different. Major difference. DGX-620 has GHS (Graded Hammer Standard keys) which will give you almost Grand Piano Feel. Because of that the weight of them are amlost 20lb different. Oher specs are same.

This is late, but the action on this model is really damn good. It's a weighted graded action keybed that feels like a real acoustic piano.

Tossing up between this and the P-140. The P-140 is more and less features and they both feature weighted keys. What are the weighted keys like - are they the same as the P-140 - are they really weighted so it feels like a real piano or just slightly?

I have a Kawai ES4 digital piano and I love it. I like the action of it a bit better than the 620. I have played both and they both are very nice. It all just depends on what you can afford. Great performance. I love this song. Keep up the good work.

But as the P140 costs about 50% (680ish rather than 430ish) more its not really in the same league. Also the DGX is perhaps less of a digital piano than the P140 in that it has loads of voices etc. Depends what you want and what you can afford.

The 520 and 620 are indentical apart from the 620 has the graded hammer weighted keys :)

Yes, it has a Midi interface. You can hook it up to your computer and record sheet music and all the things that you do with Midi instruments. Just uses a USB type connection rather than the traditional older Midi's.
