it is tried on a ship in history you can google it.

and the reason that we are not seeing sth like that is these method is not propulsively efficient.

If one wants to fly with sth like that why not , you can fly on a building with enough propulsion =)

I think that my magnus machine is something board in shape not a cylinder,so my magnus aircraft can fly with a strong lift.

AH AH! I can't believe, amazing! I'm not so crazy then!

In 2005, when i joint in 1st italian red bull flugtag I built something like that, but with cilinders, radius: 1 meter, wingspan: 3 meters.

Without engine, i created rotation pedaling on a modified byke :)

However I didn't manage to fly...

It is very difficult,you know,to fly this magnus aircraft well.

For the first time,I already made it about 55 years ago,middle school boy,by rubber power,not battery power.

Now I have many troubles to fly this magnus aircraft.

I hope to upload soon a video with my airmachine, would be great if somebody will manage to build something like that and will be able to fly (I mean with human pilot inside).

You know, i'm so happy to have found your video because when i built my airmachine people didn't believe in me, my friends, my teachers told me i would fail, and they were right, but i couldn't tell them that i failed because of too much weight a too few speed...
