  • I'm starting to love that introduction music. :)

  • nailed it

  • Thank you for this awesome lesson. I went outside and picked it up immediately =)

  • U got a very good way at explaining Awesome

  • its so funny what you can find when you had wanted to see a slackline-vid :D really cool man

  • the echo effect just underlines your perfect your absolute accurate spinning!

    great tutorial!

  • to help anyone its like a huge 3 beat antispin

  • whenever i try to go into the triquetra, i totally loose plane control and hit myself badly, help me Mr. Myagyi (^^ dip, paint, dip^^)

  • its pretty hard to keep the plane once i go from extended arm to triquetra, always smacks me in the face, going crazy here :(

  • haha..you really look so cute playing poi.

  • Amazing

  • thats really cool man!!

  • it looks so good!

    i love it!

  • Hell yeah! I love graphic effects on this tutorial. Soooo trippy 8 P ! Triquetras kick ass

  • have you got a video of you posting a full dance routine showing all your moves? coz your awesome ^_^

  • This guy is awesome. I like the way he explains the movement of the hand. Reminds me of Karate Kid. Flip, paint, dip. Wax on... wax off.

  • @raggadiddlidi hahaaa totally^^ i also was reminded of Mr. Myagyi and karate kid... damn im old...

  • That was so peaceful to watch.

  • You are the best. Thank you for this tutorial. You have made what I thought was one of the hardest moves in poi very easy to learn. Took me about half an hour of practice and it fell right into place. :]

  • What's the music in the beginning and end of all you videos? it sounds almost like something from cirque du solie.

  • i believe this is called a trinity knot, cool move :)

  • A little off topic, but what are those kind of pants called? I'm got the action pants from flowtoys as a present :) but I want to know where I can get other similar pants so I need to know what they're called.

  • Love your videos poi has really changed my life. It is a beautiful art. i am trying to learn the flowers but it is taking some time. But thanks for posting all of your videos

  • you're my hero.

  • I can't seem to get the extension and the 3 pedaled flower to fit together, any other tips to help me out?

  • that was pretty cool....

  • ive heard of a 2 petaaled flower its a figure 8 and in theory theres one petal but its total pointless

  • @BlindParasite no sry a 2 petal flower is a cat eye

  • you're so great at explaining everthing :)

  • one of my favorites....feels cool

  • yeah how do you get the trails? awesome video.

  • ..... °_O!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Im getting dizzy by following this!!!! My eyes still rolling around, omg they cant stop O_o!!!!

Thanks a lot for this great (as usual) Tutorial =D

    Wish you the best

  • how do you record it where the light stays on screen for a little bit

  • this is trippy shit, if i was stoned id be like... "whoah man"

  • three petal polyrhytm butterfly flower in there as well, am i right?

  • yea thts the long name for it

  • This makes sense! I'm trying to learn the anti-spin flower and it always makes three and i was wondering why -- it's just natural for the relative speed of Poi Spin :: Arm Spin.

I wonder if this is no coincidence to the relation of circles and pi (~3.14)? Any bored physicists out there?

  • i got fluffy poi where should i put my swivels? i changed the quick link to a key ring can any one help me

  • God i can´t stop smacking my self in the head

  • Aha! It all finally makes sense. Thanks for another great tutorial, Nick! Now to go play -- whee!

  • oh jeez lol i got the whole triquetra part down not the extenion but ima get it thanks for the tut it was very helpful! :]

  • thank you! i have been trying to figure out how these are done. That video effect is awesome! it really helps trace what you are doing. How do you do that effect?

  • What camera affect do u use to make the trail in the video?

  • Nice tutorial, Nick... Just one comment however.

You said that a triquetra is a circle folded in on itself... but I'm sure you know its a two beat antispin, a circle is one beat, making a cateye a circle fully folded in on itself.

Its a tricky point because what you talk of is a full extension which I guess is the same distance as the triquetra, a cateye is a unit circle movement.

  • I only bother to make the point because noting the cateye tends to open people up to the idea of cateyes in that very same hybrid as well as 4 petal or more in the same hybrid movement. :)

  • Nice tutorial, gives me something else to learn :D

  • yeah, triquetras are wonderful. I've been playing with it also with a cateye/extension, (biquetra) and a 4 petal/extension (quadraquetra).

    ahh, hybrids

  • I'm so stoked I was just thinking about how to do these!! Thank you!

  • Hey nice tutorial!

    what would that effect called??

it's so beautiful with fire and with your flowlight!

  • @gustavosrap that effect is called LSD lol :P

  • thanks! i'll start work right away and learn this... when i'm not sick...

  • is it possible to do a double triquetra?

like both spinning into eachother? or would that just tangle or be a 3 peadled flower?(one arm of each side not in front)

  • i started learning this last night and now i can do it to the right i just need to switch like you do meenik =)

  • Great video! Thanks Nick :D

  • dip and paint.... thanks nick.

  • I love the way Nick breaks it down so simply.

Great effects on this one! Keep using those. Do they work with fire? What would that effect be called?

  • you rock dude

  • A trick ive wanted to master and with your beauty and flawless talant you have yet again guided my way to more freedom of movement..

You are an inspiration... Thank you...

  • By far the best method I've seen to simplify the Triquetra, many thanks Nick

  • wow! the end of the video is really psychedelic ;)

  • The paint can example helped me learn it so much better. I really like your teaching methods.

  • Great Tutorial Nick thanks :) Still waiting for the star of David tutorial lol

  • i love your analogy for the 3 petal flower.

  • Amazing video. The visual effects really add to help what is trying to be achieved. Excellent job as always, I use alot of your words to help teach others.

  • Very nice improvement with the videos nick! The blur option is extremely easy to visualize the movement of the poi and the arm

  • I love what Nick said in the last part. Playpoi, Thnx for sharing.

  • could someone explain how to get realy good pictures of flowers? mighn dont trail. and the effect is wicked in this video

  • you should set your camera to a night mode with slow capture. some cameras have a "fireworks" mode which just works perfectly. you can do it manually too, just don't forget to turn off the flash.

  • Flowers made simple. THANKS!

  • yay!!! polyrythem, mode switching is so much fun... I never thought about it as a circle folding in on itself . nice job nic

  • Yeah I'd like to know what effect that is...reminds me of the tracers you get if your tripping

  • What is that effect in the video?

  • i've been working on this move for a while.

this should help me get it down.

  • ahh i learned this move the other week, its funnn!

    especialy with fire xD

  • that's really detailed, thank you.

    beautiful effects helped alot

    I can do it!!!! yay!!!

  • yay in first veiwer again
