its just not possible. they r updating the ipods each year with more and more stuff so people keep buying new models as well they just made the possible technology a few years ago and the reason why the camera is where it is is because the way the nano is constructed its not possible to put it where they would like it. so it cant be on all models

Yes, there is an integrated speaker on the iPod nano. You do need headphones to play the FM radio because it used the headphone wire as the antenna.
