Thanks 'Chrisphelan09' - The reason I just let the Cucumber float is that I don't trust lead weights....and they have a better chance of getting some before the Plec appears! I sometimes put a bit wedged under a rock or wood for the catfish to munch on, but mey Plec now just comes to the top and floats along with it!
Edit; Sorry, I don't post any Fish - These ones have already been 'reserved' for local Fishkeepers......If you ever visit Newcastle or Northumberland, just get in touch as they breed every month!

Thanks again...........My rainbows used to be duller, but I noticed a colour change with a good diet and also at spawning times....the youngsters will be moving to a larger set-up soon.
Hopefully they will retain the beautiful orange-yellow coloration of their parents.
Most rainbows are nice but I have seen some that were duller. I had a pair of rainbows as well. Beautiful fish...as prolific as convicts and jewels : )
Good nice fish arn't they!
I breed them myself 1 breeding pear in a tank on their own, at the moment i have got 3 batches of babies!! :D
and a tip if you want the cucumber to sink is to weigh them down with led from plants or a roll of lead. May of already new this but yano. :)
Good video!

Lovely rainbow cichlids.
Those young ones will start growing fast.
Hopefully they will retain the beautiful orange-yellow coloration of their parents.
