Linux(Ubuntu 10 is what I use) has its advantages. Speed. Price. Usability. Its a perfect OS for offices and work. I'm also a huge Windows fan. But if you want to start something about Mac, I'm on your side.

Maybe im wrong but I think Linux is slower in this kind of tasks because two reasons: 1) Worst driver support by ATI/NVIDIA and 2) Running X.org as another process instead of integrate the graphical system in the kernel like Windows does (note this increase inestability). My opinion is to use Windows in your Home and Media boxes and leave Linux/UNIX for servers and workstations(no need for graphics here).

I fail to see how market share makes Linux the bad operating system because a 3rd party company won't improve drivers. It's not Linux sucks, it's Linux is perfectly sound but doesn't have comparable third party software.
It's like saying Ford is a terrible company because the tires I bought from Chevy don't fit.

In fact, I take it out of my time to make these videos for the sole purpose of helping the LiEnucks community of users (not all of them realize that LiEnucks induces a massive performance penalty with GPU related tasks such as HA).

Maybe im wrong but I think Linux is slower in this kind of tasks because two reasons: 1) Worst driver support by ATI/NVIDIA and 2) Running X.org as another process instead of integrate the graphical system in the kernel like Windows does (note this increase inestability). My opinion is to use Windows in your Home and Media boxes and leave Linux/UNIX for servers and workstations(no need for graphics here).
