I have autism, and when I was younger I had a really limitted diet due to texture sensitivity. I had barely any issues with taste, but often the texture of something would really get me. When I was about 13, my parents started blenderising some of the things I didn't like, and that way I could get used to the food and get to like it before moving on to non-blenderised food. It made the 'new' food far less alien and less scary. Obviously this is just me, but it really helped me.
