Israel has the military forces that can destroy the entire Lebanon in an hour and kill maybe all the citizens of Lebanon. Israel's heroic restraint caused the death of 119 Israeli soldiers and some Israeli civilians. If Israel wanted to, it could have won the war only by the air force and maybe even without it's air force, by launching missiles from deep inside Israel.
