When you have created a ringtone in .m4r format and its sitting on your desktop, how do you get it into iTunes?...there is no Ringtones folder under the Library section, only
Music
Movies
TV Shows
Podcasts
Applications
Radio
Well, to solve the problem, simply just drag it into your main music section and it will automatically create a tab for ringtone. Hope you found it helpful =]
@Chiavarii Sounds like you may need to show your file extensions.
Open any navigation window such as My Documents, go to 'Tools' > 'Folder options', select the 'View' tab then in advanced settings, untick 'Hide extensions for known file types'
(For Vista/7 OS you'll need to press the 'alt' key to bring up the 'File' menu to get to Tools)

Once I've copied my file to the desktop, is only says the name of the song and doesn't have .m4a. How can i then convert the file to a ringtone?
