  • @ih8thyssenkrupp I recently put up a freight elevator with security doors and no wooden gate. It is probably older than this one.

  • When you were filming the exterior doors of the old antique freight elevator, you panned around the room, and got a glympse of another freight elevator at another end of the room. Can you film that one as well?

  • BEAUTIFUL!!!!!! Here's hoping they NEVER modernize!

  • Veyy nice elevator!

I like old original unmodernized elevators, a rare sight in the US.

I also like elevators with rear doors or more doors than just one, it is more interesting.

  • Nice classic. I like how the motor starts up.

  • We have 1U and 1D buttons at the dumbwaiter at the college where I go. And it has a light that lights up when it is in use.

  • This is amazing!!! Any idea when this beauty was installed?

  • The outer door reminds me of the Haughton at Todd Union.

  • Well, you finally put up something interesting worth looking at.

  • Was there someone else with another camara videoing you?

  • So, are you going to be on TV as well? I noticed the camcorder. Either that, or the Times is going to have a video piece as well.

Can't wait to see and hear about it, whenever it happens!

  • freaking awsome i love this one

  • Very cool, I loved the wooden doors and open roof on the cab. Funny that the third floor just opened onto regular office cubicles, that surprised me =)

  • @AkuraLyronat there probably was halls at one time but when a place needs more space they remove everything they can to get more desk space I am shire there would have ben a hallway or "back room" at one time.

  • Wow, that elevator sure needs a paint job! Also the inside door's mechanism sounds like the one on the old manual freight elevator I keep talking about.

  • roped hydrualic or traction

  • Roped hydraulic wasn't around back then.

  • traction..

  • That is way cool! When does your story come out in the Times?

  • wow. its cool elevator. driving or riding old things is very interesting. nice to see how things were made back then.

  • Cool video and elevator! Were they doing a story on you?
