I remember the time when i borrowed a quake 2 CD from my friend and ran it for the first time seeing this intro. It seemed to be the most breathtaking video game for that moment.
Pity though that after i had returned the disk intros no longer worked because unlike the other game files they were loading separately from that very CD
I've been looking for the background song track to this video without the radio chatter as well. I don't think it's able to be recovered from the game files as it is only heard in this video as part of the video. We may have to request it from ID software.

I think it's almost impossible to make a radio traffic cutscene any less than totally epic.

It was (and still is) a great game. Not as pretty looking as new games, but still has great replay value.

I installed "Just to see" and found the greatest game ever made, EVER...
It's called Quake II with moar graphics...
