Fort Wayne is always a city I've always wanted to check out. I've been to Indianapolis many times, and greatly enjoy that city a lot, but still haven't made it to Indiana's other 2 big cities(Fort Wayne + Evansville). Really liked your video of US 27, and the part where it's suddenly routed onto 2 different streets reminds me of what Business US 51 is like through Normal + Bloomington, IL.
Have you ever thought about filming downtown Indy? You'd make a really great video, filming its downtown!
@prfsnlwannabe Thanks, I have plans for Evansville, and one more Louisville video. Jim said that Indy's freeways alone aren't that interesting, the freeways just don't stand out as much. Downtown? I'll have to see with Jim if the downtown is interesting or not.
@FreewayAndrew IMO, of the parts of Indianapolis I've explored, I'm very fond of their downtown area and Broad Ripple. I've also heard good things about the Irvington and Fountain Square neighborhoods, but've been unable to check both of those neighborhoods out yet. I've always thought Indianapolis was an extremely underrated city, although I won't disagree with Jim that their freeways aren't the most impressive(can't think of any 3 or 4 level stack interchanges, or any that have flyover ramps)!
@FreewayAndrew You really should check out Indy's downtown on google street view. Once you see the areas on street view around the State Capitol, Circle Center Mall, Monument Circle, Indiana War Memorial, IUPUI, Eitteljorg Museum, the canal west of downtown(sorry I forget the exact name), Lucas Oil Stadium, Victory Field, Massachusetts Ave.(often nicknamed Mass Ave), I think then you'll become very convinced that it's downtown is very worth filming.
Forgot to add that the Murat(forget what it's been renamed to, but it's a music theater) and the Fountain Square neighborhood(southeast of downtown, maybe that could be a possible place to start a drive from into the downtown) would also be interesting places to film by. But check all the places from this comment and my last one, and I'm sure you could find a decent route to drive for such a downtown Indy film.
@prfsnlwannabe You will also want to check out south bend, their skyline is better than evansvilles even though the city isn't as big. It has a really nice downtown though with a lot of tall buildings.
@Elitetank87 I've been to South Bend before(believe it was back when I was a teenager), it isn't a bad city. I'd like to return to it at some point, if just to only see the Studebaker(sp?) Museum. (the main thing I've always wanted to see there, but never have) And of course now that I have a camera, I'd love to make another trip there, just to photograph SB, and hopefully also the Notre Dame campus.
Fort Wayne sure has a nice downtown, kind of reminds me of Lafayette, LA.Also I like the intro with the reversed time lapse...Excellent video and ride man.

Thanks for posting. I grew up in Fort Wayne in the 1970's. I have not been back in 25 years. It was good to see some familiar sites.

That concrete at the beginning of the vid looked horrible. >:-(
4:05 - I hate when people do fundraisers like that: kids, firefighters, etc.
Nice vid, Andy.

@Bryant5493 Thanks, fundraisers on the street are annoying!
