  • The church I was affiliated with taught of an age of accountability. The age differed with every child, but the age of 10-12 was generally accepted. So, I guess I'm almost defending that church. Oops.

  • stereotypes but its okay everyone has theyre reasons being narrow minded

  • With respect, I don't think you've taken the time to understand the Christian position. You will never find a reputable Christian scholar claiming that children are worthless. Sinful, yes. But worthless, no.

Please do your best to represent the Christian position more accurately in the future.

    Quran:

    (SURAH-3-THE FAMILY OF IMRAN-VS-91)

Surely, those who disbelieve and die while they are unbelievers, the earth full of gold shall not be accepted from one of them, though he should offer to ransom himself with it; these it is who shall have a painful chastisement, and they shall have no helpers.

  • This women is wrong. Children do not have a sense of right and wrong. Therefore, they are precious in God's sight. When they reach the age of accountability they have to make a choice to follow God or not. We will be accountable for our own sins.

Adam's fall just caused us to be infected with the disease of sin, we have a choice whether or not to let it guide us. Keep watching!

    Quran:

    (SURAH-3-THE FAMILY OF IMRAN-VS-116)

(as for) those who disbelieve, surely neither their wealth nor their children shall avail them in the least against allah; and these are the inmates of the fire; therein they shall abide.

  • christianity is the belief that a cosmic zombie can grant you eternal life if you promis to eat his flesh and drink his blood to free yourself from the sin you have within you because a woman made from the rib of a clay man was convinced by a talking snake to eat the fruit from a magic tree

  • @apoplexy1974 your perspective is odd

  • @apoplexy1974 thats a really good summary of it xD

  • Anyone who tells their child that it's a sin to exist, deserves no less than a literal savage beating.

  • how is believing in God bad? There are NO consequences

  • @TheVoltage130

If you simply believe and stop there then no, there really is no consequence beyond the individual. The problem lies in where irrational belief in a mystical cosmic authority can and does (with some) lead to. Intellectual laziness and dishonesty, erosion of personal accountability, intolerance of out-groups, erosion of intellectual curiosity. These are all problems that impede people from understanding and bettering themselves, society, and the world at large.

  • it's limbo, not purgatory

  • That Jen Peeples has to go. That accent is making my ears bleed.

  • This is the equivelent of telling your child it is ok to run with scissors. Is it right? No So should you tell the child its right? According to christians the answer is YES and here is why there child does something bad and they go its alright "God" will forgive you , they continue to let them do bad and never correct there mistakes. In turn teaching the child its alright to be bad "Sinner" jusst as long as you say your sorry you can go ahead and do it again.

  • I really do believe that the christian who teach their children such should be guilty of child abuse. It's just terrible.

  • @Alexius314 yes i agree it is abuse.
