There is completely no chance of something behind the picture wetting it all the time and leaving a dry spot so a part of the painting can burn.

Also, the picture could be in the middle between those bricks or whatever is under it.

Since all knowledge is attainable through the sense, it is susceptible to doubt ( example illusions ). By ur argument I can present a whole set of premises who's conclusions do not even matter, since ur taking a skeptical approach to it. He had a had a son about 35-40 yo.. one day his son passed infront of him without speak to his father.. but the father smelled his son and asked soneone nearby if it was his son who passed infront of him.. the other man replied positive. the the blind father cursed his son..
