  • Comment removed

  • 70s>60s>80s>90s

  • @ITSmikeJAY Nobody gives 2 fucks about you either haha

  • wow i love all these songs

  • no kinda yes yes yes hell yeah hell yeah yes hell yeah yes. i think you missed some opportunities with some bands. I much rather the 70s to the 80s.

  • Born in 71 and let down by rock in the eighties.

  • Wow. I think you took the first 10 70's songs that came to your head and put them on this list. Be a little more creative please

  • No one ever could compile a list like this where everyone would agree.

  • "turn it up" "i looked out this morning and the sun was gone, turned on some music and i slipped away. it's more then a feeling." aahhhh, love my music. but (in my best Brittish, snobbish voice) "i do not agree with this list." lol, sorry.

  • ppl need to stop remaking smoke on the water like really its gettting old nothing beats the original

  • who are you kidding, the 80s' don't come close to what the 70s' music. I dare you to name 10 original (musically) bands from the 80s' that influenced future music.

  • as soon as Aerosmith made the list i stopped listening

  • "Although Not as good as the 80's The 70's..." PAH-LEAZE! Live in opposite world much?

  • 80s were good. 70s were legendary

  • dubstep blows man its all about this good stuff right here

  • In my opinion the 70's was better than the 80's but i still love the 80's.

  • SO DONT HATE! and btw @SpaceTruckin68 nice list :)

  • and @grasd2 Dude what is your deal? Music is an outburst of the soul, don't knock others because their not like you, Music is music everything in evolution gets better but it has to evolve from something before and classics are classics in the words of Charlie Parker a.k.a. Yardbird "Music is your own experience, your own thoughts, your wisdom. If you don't live it, it won't come out of your horn. They teach you there's a boundary line to music. But, man, there's no boundary line to art."

  • I hate when they dont include the whole song wtf is the point of that! grrrrrrrr!

  • rock sucks it's all about dubstep, how do you guys even listen to music from 30-40 years ago, it's like you never evelvod

  • @grasd2 and its like you dont have anything else to do and you care about us. STFU and go listen to your fucking rap,gay or whatever shit you listen to, dickface.

  • Fuck you.

  • @CBoyardee thumbs up

  • @CBoyardee what the beans man, chill your beans. we're all one big music community here.

  • "Although Not as good as the 80's The 70's..."

    /facepalm

  • The 70's are so much better than the 80's man....

  • @MrPerezCosta Yep! I agree!

  • excellent music, all timeless and welldone. holds up and most are not overplayed.

  • deep purple, led zeppelin, lynyrd skynyrd, boston y missisipi , not more!!1

  • watch?v=ysNd4QGOgeY

  • i gusse canada really know's what thire talking about when i comes to music

(for the dummy's , check the description)

  • SMOKE ON THE WATER BEST

  • Oh my fucking God. La Grange is a total fucking rip-off on the ORIGINAL song "Shake Your Hips" (or Hip Shake) by Slim Harpo. I hate ZZ Top's horrible try at that great blues riff.

  • It is hard to pick just 10...The Jive Bunny knows!

  • WTF AC GREASY MADE THE LIST TWICE I WOULDNT EVEN PUT THEM ON A TOP 100 LIST

  • @POPEATRON Bet you wrote that while listening to Bieber.

  • 1970's rock was awesome.....disco ruined the decade.

  • Hemispheres - Rush.

  • Let's be honest for outright rock the 70s is the decade. For great pop music the 80s is bettter, although the 60s is best.

  • @ITSmikeJay 70's rock is awesome that is not a bad thing. The new rock now days is terrible!

  • ZZ top has bad-ass beards... :3

  • Dude, I don't care who the fuck you are, Aerosmith, 70s, 80s, 90s, I don't care, their bad-ass.

  • @mrblowup1222 Same with AC/DC. Fuck yeah :P

  • guuiiiitar hero!

  • Having grown up during the 80's I have to Strongly disagree with your statement . How you can even say that is beyond me. The 80.s did have some Decent bands But I can't really believe Led Zep. and say Rat are even in the same galaxy ? the 80's was mostly about sexually confused Euros. i.e) Eurythmics,Boy George and so forth and such like. Or G.LA.M. ( Gay LA. Metal ) Now saying this I mean no disrespect to any one. or that there wasn't any good bands then But really ? 70s not as good as the 80s

  • Aerosmith,Ac Dc,Deep Purple,ZZ Top,BLACK SABBATH,Led Zeppelin,Lynyrd Skynyrd,Boston,Mountain and many more are bands from late 60s and early 70s so respect to them and hell fucking keep rocking

  • Hell Yeah 70s All About Hard Rock

  • late seventies early eighties is best in my opinion

  • dude are you on crack!! you are not seriously comparing the 80's to the 70's as far as music goes...are you like 32? no comparison what so ever...ya the 80's had some great songs...but the very best albums of all time came out in the 70's...crime of the century, who next, zepplin four, lynard skynard (pronounced), the wall, etc etc etc.

  • Not as good as the 80's.... HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!! What have you been smokin'???

  • Where are Earth, Wind,, and Fire, Chicago, The Eagles, and Elton John? These people were essential 70's

  • @drtankify I agree.

  • Yeah it's impossible to mention the 70's without Pink Floyd and The Who

  • I take it NOBODY here has heard Aqualung by Jethro Tull!!

that is one of the best songs ever!

BTW, most of these songs suck.

  • black dog but no stairway? wtf? are you retarded?

  • Ewww the description ruins the whole video...

  • if you look hard enough the 70's kill the 80's

  • Im a kid and i love 70's rock more then todays, is that a bad thing :)

  • @ITSmikeJAY hell nah im 15 i love 70s rok tooo it means u r willing to go uoutside the box and be diffrent than ur peers

  • @ITSmikeJAY please stop, you are not special, theres plenty of kids who like 70s music, stop trying to seem cool

  • @JakeStrangeFishing thank you. i hate it when they brag like that

  • @ITSmikeJAY NO ITS NOT STOP BRAGGIN

  • @ITSmikeJAY Not at all... I'm 13.

  • @ITSmikeJAY kid nobody give 2 fucks, my music is also diverse

i like everything from queen to katy perry to suicide silence to t mills, so your not special

  • Great Job!... love this.

  • what about pink floyd?!!!!!!!

  • 80's had Europe with The Final Countdown. A contender. The 1970's had Zeppelin and Stairway. An unopposed champion.

  • I'm surprised you ranked "La Grange" higher than "Smoke on the Water".

  • Kansas? Kiss? Queen? Scorpions? Ramones? but Good list!

  • <3 70s rock

  • I WISH I WAS BORN IN THE 70's, these songs are so good!

  • I'm sorry, you cannot possibly have a "greatest rock songs of the '70s" list without any of the following: Brown Sugar, Tumbling Dice, Miss You, Won't Get Fooled Again, Baba O'Riley, Stairway to Heaven, Born to Run, Rock and Roll All Night...

  • @Mikefreed9241 That's a top ten though... The 70's have hundreds of legendary songs.

  • wheres freebird??? :(

  • Where's Free Bird? Stairway to Heaven? Qualified himself by saying the 80's were better. Probably some 14 year old on his mom's laptop

  • @nawlinzrealtor A list is never legit without Free Bird and Stairway

  • Then the songs he picked were no way the best. Mustbe a Canadien LOL

  • When it comes to overall talent, and quality of rock the 80's aren't even close to the 70's.

  • @78rlb I love good music and don't care what era it comes from, I am partial to 70's music being a teen when Aerosmith, and Boston hit the charts they hold special memories. But the eighty's gave us Def Leppard and Sammy with VanHalen it is all good no great.

  • hey retard ,80s was when music started its decent into the sewer

  • @hmsrvcs4 I believe it was the 90s in my opinion.

  • @whorefacedloser The 80's had some great music too! NWOBHM gained recognition, the Thrash metal genre kicked off in the early 80's, and don't forget that classic debut album 'Appetite for Destruction' by Guns n' Roses.. 80's rock was a natural progression from the bands of the 70's.. just ignore all the shitty hair-metal bands lol and you'd see that 'real' rock music of the 80's was fucking awesome

  • canada can go suck it....U.S.A! U.S.A!

  • @AndreaRatliff1981 usa can go suck the big one.... CANADA!! CANADA!! CANADA!!

    pfft... typical AMERICAN WOMAN!!!

  • 80's FTW!!!!!!!!!, buuuuuuuuuuut the 70's music is the shit! i clean my house to that music haha

  • @shystonerlove420 I shower to the 70's.... with my Ipod.... Too intense? Probably so lol

  • Everything worth considering is from the FIRST half of the decade, the last half was CONTAMINATED BY DISCO.

    1. Boston - More than a feeling [+ the next 2 cuts, for best album SIDE]

    2. Lynyrd Skynyrd - Sweet Home Alabama

    3. Yes - Roundabout

    4. Steppenwolf - Magic Carpet Ride

    5. Jethro Tull - Locomotive Breath [trust me, go listen, it's on Aqualung]

  • Not as good as the 80s? are you nuts? the 80s was nothing but beat box,bad hair and bad taste.During the 80s I listened to 70s rock because the 80s was so terrible that I couldn't listen to the radio....

  • @Givemeafinname LOL, no it wasn't. '80's wasn't "HORRIBLE". You wanna hear HORRIBLE, watch an MTV VMA award ceremony.

  • @WitnessofTheHolyOne You should have watched them in the 80s then you would have a vortex of HORRIBLE..

  • @Givemeafinname nah man, there was A LOT of awesome songs in the 80's.

off the top of my head living on a prayer by bon jovi

  • "Although Not as good as the 80's The 70's had its share..." LMFAOROFL

  • The 70s absolutely smashed the crap out of the 80s. I mean Led Zep, Black Sabbath, Pink Floyd....these are genre-defining bands whose music sounds just as fresh and meanful today as it did nearly 40 years ago.

  • Comment removed

  • Does it matter which decade was better, 70's or 80's. Both are miles better than today's music. Rock is the greatest genre of music. Full stop. :)

  • 70's better than the 80's? Most of the rock bands considered the best of the best of rock and roll where from the 80's x3

  • @whorefacedloser I wouldnt say anything s better, 70 s had more of a human feeling ...But anyway that top ten list sucks ass, it shows that the maker doestn know anything about the 70s , he only picked bands that were cool in the 80s and went back and put their 70s hits on the list lol,

  • no iron maiden?

  • This is guitar hero

  • I'm wondering why there is no Sweet songs in the 70s songs They were the group as far as I'm concerned :)

  • Fuck ya alabama!

  • Some interesting choices. Aerosmith always havebeen a pale, limp, Rolling Stones tribute band, Boston the very worst in soft rock.

David Bowie's Jean Genie,The Who's Wont Get Fooled Again, Kinks Lola, New York Dolls Personality Crisis, Alice Coopers Schools Out are all absent

  • @garylongden I have to disagree with your first remark

  • Dude, wheres stairway to heaven?

  • Hell yes!!! LED fucking Zeppelin

  • I wish I was Born in the 60's so I could Appreciate this, the music theses days compared with this is terrible , I love the 70's!!!! :D

  • Mountain - One of the most underestimated group of heavy music.

  • Never even heard of the first one I don't think that one is even in the top ten songs by AC/DC in the 70s! Smoke on the water is cool. Never been a ZZ Top fan, but that is one of their better ones. It is not a good example of Black Sabbath Black dog is good Sweet home Alabama is not bad Now that AC/DC is a bit better! The Boston one is alright, but nowhere near top ten, and never even heard of Missippi Queen! Ya got 1 out of 10 by me!
  • I don't think that one is even in the top ten songs by AC/DC in the 70s!

  • If yu think thats the best the 70's had to offer yur otta touch or maybe yu were born in the 90's

  • The 70s had the best all around music of any rock era period!!

  • sounds like one of those tapes from a tv commercial...def not the very best of the 70's, nor the best from the bands shown, maybe radio plays?.possible, butgood songs but far far from the top ten.way

  • far.maybe Smoke, just because that is like the first song every guitar player triess to play.lmapo.."no smoking" signs in gutar shops means do not play that song!.lmfao...ZZ Top RULES...lmao lmmfao do you poeople know sabbath started in the 60's.lol.and yea church's preached they were all devil worshippers, and ya know what? they acted just like it too, coming on the stage to a loud low drone of some crap.lead by hooded people carrying goats heads on platters..

  • lmmfao.oh yea deny it all now.I was there.walked out of the first sabbath concert ever went to because .THEY SUCKED ASS...lmmfao Boston's first practicve run concert, outta no-wheres super guitars and shit and then 20 minutes of wtf is this crap.yea.sabbath sucked I SAID IT SO WHAT

  • yeah BOSTON baby Delp,Scholtz geniuses

  • Dude, remember to keep the door ajar while your cooking up the next "batch o' meth" because, judging from that list, I can tell you never escaped the trailer park!

No Queen? No Bowie? No Stones? No Van Halen? No Lizzy? Ever heard of Radar Love?

  • ehmm.. sorry... but where the fuck is stairway to haven?

  • this may seem kinda random, but i just noticed the sabbath song is sabbath bloody sabbath, and there's a U2 song called sunday bloody sunday (sabbath is on sunday)

  • the 80's were shit! what the fuck?

  • @whorefacedloser Without question. 70's was definitely the best decade for bands like AC/DC, Aerosmith, Sabbath, and so many others.

  • The 80's was considered the X generation. No identification. Please refrase your header. Richard.

  • 70's was the best of times to be a rocker!!!

  • HELL YEAH MOUNTAIN!

  • All great songs but i dont think you can narrow it down to just 10 songs. There are to many amazing bands, the only thing i dont understand is how you can make a video of the top ten best 70's rock songs without any Rush!!!!

  • no stones, supertramp, cars or police wow!!!

  • good picks, but for number 10... which should be consigned to the garbage.

  • bostons more than a feeling is the #1 song on this list. Hands down

  • dude, you put boston ahead of skynyrd and ac dc !?.. that's just sick......

  • 70s -- Music was amazing. Then it just got worse and worse :(

  • @whorefacedloser Totally right. I liked the 80's, I liked the 90's, but the 70's absolutely ruled for ROCK.

  • 70,s my god!!!! it started evrything

  • There Was Rock in the 80's? I just remember playing that kick butt music from the 70's! Oh that right it was Hair Rock, LOL

  • 6:20

Angus looks like Stallone, or is it just me?

  • um only one led zeppelin song no offence but you dont know much about the 70's

  • hey you left out alot of good shit man... when you really start listenin' the music from the hay days then you can post an actual top ten songs video.

  • stairway to heaven???

  • 70's RULES and maybe this guys who comment against them r just not old enough to recognize true value of 70's =))))))

  • @lisajones187 and no just because a band made way more money than another band doesn't make them better... i know plenty of bands that weren't as big but are just as good as the "best" bands in the world shit UFO!! Angel!! ever heard of them??

  • u dont know shit about the 70s!

  • Comment removed

  • TNT??? Shot Down In Flames???? cmon ACDC was great in the 70s!!!!

  • hmmm no one ever seems to put rainbows all night long on these top rock songs from the 70s....ive seen many great vocals but its is just a cut above the rest from the 70s IMO..

  • 80's better for Rock than the 70's ? LOL

The 70's were the last decade rock legends were born. Record sales mean less than the impact on people. Quite possibly Britney Spears has sold more CD's than the Doors would ever hope to sell in the original vinyl format, but that surely does not make her a better or more important musician.

But seriously, 80's rock better than the 70's??? And mind you, i grew up in the eighties...

  • @lisajones187

If you are judging strictly by money earned, records sold and such...which is in my opinion a SHIT way to truly judge a band...NONE of those bands you mentioned 'sold' more than the 300 million records Led Zeppelin has sold. That aside, the backstreet boys have sold over 130 million records...so...they are 'better' than The Who, Deep Purple, or The Doors?

  • @lisajones187

"...And to name a few (BETTER THAN ZEPPLIN) and its a fact, due to there chart positions"

Just because a band 'charts' higher doesn't make them 'better.' I mean, by that logic Justin Bieber or Creed probably has more and higher chart 'hits' than someone like Frank Zappa, or the Velvet Underground, or Motorhead etc...that doesn't automatically classify them as 'better.'

  • wow, this list really sucks. the only song that should even be on here is black dog. where is the Pink Floyd? the Who? Rolling Stones? stairway? bohemian rhapsody?

  • Mississippi Queen does not suck. Go back to listening to Justin Bieber loser.

  • I like AC/DC but goddamn it you cant have 2 of there fucking songs, and Mississipi queen sucks!

  • all 10 of those songs should be RUSH songs. cause lets be honest. nothing else comes close to rush!! in my opinion. lol

  • @platinum014 The Who!!!!!!!

  • @joelbroncos not even close

  • @platinum014 Are you kiddin' me?? The Who is better than Rush, (In my opinion) and I like Rush!

  • @joelbroncos (in my opinion) rush blows most bands out of the water. there is very few bands who can reach rush standards(lol) of music.

  • @platinum014 The Who was pioneers.. The Who had the best drummer ever (Keith Moon), CSI use The Who for their soundtracks, The Who Appears on The Simpsons. The Who appeared on the Super Bowl XLIV's Halftime Show, The Who has the #6 and #47 Best hard rock songs (Won't get fooled again and My Generation) respectively. THE WHO KICKS SOME ASS! (Sorry of my bad english)

  • Stairway to Heaven should be #1...and Mountain shouldn't have made the list. Whatever

  • @lisajones187 Name one band better than led zepplin in the 80's .It might take a while for you to respond but that's only because you can't think of anything close to Led Zepplin,or Pink Floyd[2 hours later]Boston, AC-DC,or Queen.

  • 119 people like Justin Bieber beter then olskool 70's Rock. @$%# them!

  • You say Justin Bieber I say ACDC

You say Miley Cyrus I say Led Zepplin

You say T-Pain I say nirvana

You say Kanye I say Metallica

You say Pink I say Iron Maiden

You say Hip Hop i say shut the fuck up

You say Pop I scream metal

You say hanah montana-i punch you in the face

92% of teenagers have turned to Hip Hop and Pop.If you are part of the 8% that still listen to real music, copy and paste this message to another 5 videos.DONTLET THE SPIRIT OF ROCK DIE

  • @pajdoman123 Amen to that brother!

  • Wow, the 80s music better than the 70 --- thats a great way to get comments. What a joke. By mid decade, the 70s had better music than the 80s. Oh, add Yes, Emerson Lake and Palmer and David Bowie to the list above. Subtract The Beatles off the 70s list.

  • @wpollock1 Oh hey Madonna was WAY better than any bands mentioned on this channel........NOT! LOL.

  • Common fact- Stairway to Heaven

    Number 1 of all time

    Get your facts straight
