and @grasd2 Dude what is your deal? Music is an outburst of the soul, don't knock others because their not like you, Music is music everything in evolution gets better but it has to evolve from something before and classics are classics in the words of Charlie Parker a.k.a. Oh my fucking God. La Grange is a total fucking rip-off on the ORIGINAL song "Shake Your Hips" (or Hip Shake) by Slim Harpo. I hate ZZ Top's horrible try at that great blues riff.
Having grown up during the 80's I have to Strongly disagree with your statement . How you can even say that is beyond me. The 80.s did have some Decent bands But I can't really believe Led Zep. and say Rat are even in the same galaxy ? the 80's was mostly about sexually confused Euros. i.e) Eurythmics,Boy George and so forth and such like. Or G.LA.M. ( Gay LA. Metal ) Now saying this I mean no disrespect to any one. or that there wasn't any good bands then But really ? 70s not as good as the 80s
Aerosmith,Ac Dc,Deep Purple,ZZ Top,BLACK SABBATH,Led Zeppelin,Lynyrd Skynyrd,Boston,Mountain and many more are bands from late 60s and early 70s so respect to them and hell fucking keep rocking
dude are you on crack!! you are not seriously comparing the 80's to the 70's as far as music goes...are you like 32? no comparison what so ever...ya the 80's had some great songs...but the very best albums of all time came out in the 70's...crime of the century, who next, zepplin four, lynard skynard (pronounced), the wall, etc etc etc.
I'm sorry, you cannot possibly have a "greatest rock songs of the '70s" list without any of the following: Brown Sugar, Tumbling Dice, Miss You, Won't Get Fooled Again, Baba O'Riley, Stairway to Heaven, Born to Run, Rock and Roll All Night...
@78rlb I love good music and don't care what era it comes from, I am partial to 70's music being a teen when Aerosmith, and Boston hit the charts they hold special memories. But the eighty's gave us Def Leppard and Sammy with VanHalen it is all good no great.
@whorefacedloser The 80's had some great music too! NWOBHM gained recognition, the Thrash metal genre kicked off in the early 80's, and don't forget that classic debut album 'Appetite for Destruction' by Guns n' Roses.. 80's rock was a natural progression from the bands of the 70's.. just ignore all the shitty hair-metal bands lol and you'd see that 'real' rock music of the 80's was fucking awesome
Not as good as the 80s? are you nuts? the 80s was nothing but beat box,bad hair and bad taste.During the 80s I listened to 70s rock because the 80s was so terrible that I couldn't listen to the radio....
The 70s absolutely smashed the crap out of the 80s. I mean Led Zep, Black Sabbath, Pink Floyd....these are genre-defining bands whose music sounds just as fresh and meanful today as it did nearly 40 years ago.
@whorefacedloser I wouldnt say anything s better, 70 s had more of a human feeling ...But anyway that top ten list sucks ass, it shows that the maker doestn know anything about the 70s , he only picked bands that were cool in the 80s and went back and put their 70s hits on the list lol,
Never even heard of the first one I don't think that one is even in the top ten songs by AC/DC in the 70s! Smoke on the water is cool. Never been a ZZ Top fan, but that is one of their better ones. It is not a good example of Black Sabbath Black dog is good Sweet home Alabama is not bad Now that AC/DC is a bit better! The Boston one is alright, but nowhere near top ten, and never even heard of Missippi Queen! Ya got 1 out of 10 by me!
sounds like one of those tapes from a tv commercial...def not the very best of the 70's, nor the best from the bands shown, maybe radio plays?.possible, butgood songs but far far from the top ten.way
far.maybe Smoke, just because that is like the first song every guitar player triess to play.lmapo.."no smoking" signs in gutar shops means do not play that song!.lmfao...ZZ Top RULES...lmao lmmfao do you poeople know sabbath started in the 60's.lol.and yea church's preached they were all devil worshippers, and ya know what? they acted just like it too, coming on the stage to a loud low drone of some crap.lead by hooded people carrying goats heads on platters..
lmmfao.oh yea deny it all now.I was there.walked out of the first sabbath concert ever went to because .THEY SUCKED ASS...lmmfao Boston's first practicve run concert, outta no-wheres super guitars and shit and then 20 minutes of wtf is this crap.yea.sabbath sucked I SAID IT SO WHAT
wat te hel??? were the hel is Justin Bieber on tis dum list??? rock sux!!! get a life you guys u do not no wat gret music yu aur mising out on wen u aur not listinning two the music god that is Justin Bieber!
@UAurADouche Why would anyone post a comment about Justin Bieber on a classic rock video? Justin Bieber is a talentless faggot and you are a cum drunk limey douchebag.
Dude, remember to keep the door ajar while your cooking up the next "batch o' meth" because, judging from that list, I can tell you never escaped the trailer park!
No Queen? No Bowie? No Stones? No Van Halen? No Lizzy? Ever heard of Radar Love?
this may seem kinda random, but i just noticed the sabbath song is sabbath bloody sabbath, and there's a U2 song called sunday bloody sunday (sabbath is on sunday)
All great songs but i dont think you can narrow it down to just 10 songs. There are to many amazing bands, the only thing i dont understand is how you can make a video of the top ten best 70's rock songs without any Rush!!!!
hey you left out alot of good shit man... when you really start listenin' the music from the hay days then you can post an actual top ten songs video.
@lisajones187 and no just because a band made way more money than another band doesn't make them better... i know plenty of bands that weren't as big but are just as good as the "best" bands in the world shit UFO!! Angel!! ever heard of them??
hmmm no one ever seems to put rainbows all night long on these top rock songs from the 70s....ive seen many great vocals but its is just a cut above the rest from the 70s IMO..
The 70's were the last decade rock legends were born. Record sales mean less than the impact on people. Quite possibly Britney Spears has sold more CD's than the Doors would ever hope to sell in the original vinyl format, but that surely does not make her a better or more important musician.
But seriously, 80's rock better than the 70's??? And mind you, i grew up in the eighties...
If you are judging strictly by money earned, records sold and such...which is in my opinion a SHIT way to truly judge a band...NONE of those bands you mentioned 'sold' more than the 300 million records Led Zeppelin has sold. That aside, the backstreet boys have sold over 130 million records...so...they are 'better' than The Who, Deep Purple, or The Doors?
"...And to name a few (BETTER THAN ZEPPLIN) and its a fact, due to there chart positions"
Just because a band 'charts' higher doesn't make them 'better.' I mean, by that logic Justin Bieber or Creed probably has more and higher chart 'hits' than someone like Frank Zappa, or the Velvet Underground, or Motorhead etc...that doesn't automatically classify them as 'better.'
wow, this list really sucks. the only song that should even be on here is black dog. where is the Pink Floyd? the Who? Rolling Stones? stairway? bohemian rhapsody?
@platinum014 The Who was pioneers.. The Who had the best drummer ever (Keith Moon), CSI use The Who for their soundtracks, The Who Appears on The Simpsons. The Who appeared on the Super Bowl XLIV's Halftime Show, The Who has the #6 and #47 Best hard rock songs (Won't get fooled again and My Generation) respectively. THE WHO KICKS SOME ASS! (Sorry of my bad english)
@lisajones187 Name one band better than led zepplin in the 80's .It might take a while for you to respond but that's only because you can't think of anything close to Led Zepplin,or Pink Floyd[2 hours later]Boston, AC-DC,or Queen.
92% of teenagers have turned to Hip Hop and Pop.If you are part of the 8% that still listen to real music, copy and paste this message to another 5 videos.DONTLET THE SPIRIT OF ROCK DIE
Wow, the 80s music better than the 70 --- thats a great way to get comments. What a joke. By mid decade, the 70s had better music than the 80s. Oh, add Yes, Emerson Lake and Palmer and David Bowie to the list above. Subtract The Beatles off the 70s list.
WHERE THE HELL IS DAVID BOWIE??????

5. Jethro Tull - Locomotive Breath [trust me, go listen, it's on Aqualung]

The 80's was considered the X generation. No identification. Please refrase your header. Richard.

All great songs but i dont think you can narrow it down to just 10 songs. There are to many amazing bands, the only thing i dont understand is how you can make a video of the top ten best 70's rock songs without any Rush!!!!

@whorefacedloser Totally right. I liked the 80's, I liked the 90's, but the 70's absolutely ruled for ROCK.

80's better for Rock than the 70's ? LOL
Anagnostis79 6 months ago
@lisajones187
PullMyPeeper 6 months ago
@lisajones187
PullMyPeeper 6 months ago
wow, this list really sucks. the only song that should even be on here is black dog. where is the Pink Floyd? the Who? Rolling Stones? stairway? bohemian rhapsody?
KRoNikMaTT420 7 months ago
Mississippi Queen does not suck. Go back to listening to Justin Bieber loser.
RightURKen7 7 months ago
I like AC/DC but goddamn it you cant have 2 of there fucking songs, and Mississipi queen sucks!
smokesomeganja420 7 months ago
all 10 of those songs should be RUSH songs. cause lets be honest. nothing else comes close to rush!! in my opinion. lol

@platinum014 Are you kiddin' me?? The Who is better than Rush, (In my opinion) and I like Rush!
joelbroncos 7 months ago
@joelbroncos (in my opinion) rush blows most bands out of the water. there is very few bands who can reach rush standards(lol) of music.
platinum014 7 months ago
@platinum014 The Who was pioneers.. The Who had the best drummer ever (Keith Moon), CSI use The Who for their soundtracks, The Who Appears on The Simpsons. The Who appeared on the Super Bowl XLIV's Halftime Show, The Who has the #6 and #47 Best hard rock songs (Won't get fooled again and My Generation) respectively. THE WHO KICKS SOME ASS! (Sorry of my bad english)
joelbroncos 7 months ago
Stairway to Heaven should be #1...and Mountain shouldn't have made the list. Whatever
elydanification 7 months ago
@lisajones187 Name one band better than led zepplin in the 80's .It might take a while for you to respond but that's only because you can't think of anything close to Led Zepplin,or Pink Floyd[2 hours later]Boston, AC-DC,or Queen.

Wow, the 80s music better than the 70 --- thats a great way to get comments. What a joke. By mid decade, the 70s had better music than the 80s. Oh, add Yes, Emerson Lake and Palmer and David Bowie to the list above. Subtract The Beatles off the 70s list.
wpollock1 7 months ago 2
@wpollock1 Oh hey Madonna was WAY better than any bands mentioned on this channel........NOT! LOL.
