One thing I'll always find the most negative thing about a online RPG is that you won't be able to play it anymore (as it was intended) 10 years or more in the future. A game like Dragon Quest VIIII is forever, you can play it far into the future (as long as there are tv's). Wouldn't it be quit the disappoinmtment if you couldn't play Zelda I or Phantasy Star I anymore in this day and age because certain things aren't available anymore

Im so dissapointed with this generation in gaming in general but SQuare-Enix is REALLY messing shit up, so now another Legendary rpg series is going down the drain like ONE other popular series that comes to mind........I just want a LEGIT Suikoden 6 on the ps3 with NO online, NO DLC,and Single player like it should be, and of course a Dark Cloud 3 would be great as well.

@benzo8686 I hope that square considers a single player experience for XI and return the single players back to the series.

As for Suikoden ..... well the team disbanded this year and it still hurts ... so I don't see a new suikoden anytime soon unfortunately.  Hopefully i'll get revived in the future.

Now Dark Cloud 3 there's a game I've wanted to be made ..... ages ago. Hopefully Level 5 will consider it in the future.

Sure the Wii isn't too expensive these days but I would rather not buy a second unit.

I've been looking for the shining force games but it seem like they all goes for about ten billion dollars here in Sweden. Even the early ones that are included on the Megadrive Collection costs quite much.

I'm more leaning towards Panzer Dragoon Saga if I were to pay that amount for a game that's possibly struck by disk rot

The blacksmithing and clothes making part sounds pretty cool as long as its better then it was in FF14. I haven't played the game and I don't plan on ever playing it but I've seen stuff about it

I'm gonna give this game the benefit of the doubt as 3 of my favourite RPG series (KH, Final Fantasy and DQ) has games in it made by Square Enix so I know they know how to make really good RPGs

I cant wait for this! Dragon Quest as an online RPG? Sign me up! It was evident with DQ9 that they were starting to shy away from the single player traditional RPG's of old, which is a good and bad thing depending on who you talk to. IMO this is an excellent step for the series and I can guarantee that there are MANY fans super excited to see this happen. I for one cant wait to team up with others go go kick some Slime ass!

Im 50/50 on this because I do like the concept, but ive honestly never seen an MMO made right. I do enjoy a world where im absorbed into an RPG that I can imagine being part of. But the game has to hve a good story, lots of stuff to do, it has to eventually have an ending, and it cant be a life ruining game for people. I will miss the turn based but atleast there is battle scenes. So if made right, im all for DQX. It will be nice if we can get the community involved for this game as well =]

@tinostustampy I think they said that you can play the game solo with NPCs but thats still online. I think they meant u don't have to hook up with a party to beat the main story. Personally I'm hoping for a offline mode as well to give players the choice.

"One important detail about the game - you can complete the game offline. While playing online will allow you to become an ally to another player, offline players will find those roles filled by NPCs. Players can also allow their characters to still be used as NPCs, even when they're not playing."

I've played my share of MMOs over the years, and while they can be fun (depending on the people you play with), I just can't play them anymore, they just take up too much time. I will admit though, the amount of depth you explained about the crafting system has me intrigued...but yeah HOW long is that going to take lol.

It is because of World of Warcraft, almost every good RPG from Japan are trying to make a multiplayer online RPG...

If this means the end of single player storylines, it would be a sad day.

All-in-all I am disappointed in DQX. I don't want to play MMORPGs anymore, guess we can blame FF XIV for ruining all the hope I had for MMORPGs.

Stitching sounds interesting but will be very time-consuming in the long run.

The potential problems with the Wii and Wii U connectivity is frightening. I feel DQ X will have insane amount of things to do, quantity over quality. Where's my engrossing storyline?
