as far as the nighttime/stars unfortunately, no. this won't work with any video camera (as far as I know). this is made up of individual 30 second exposures from a DSLR (Nikon D50), set at ISO 1600. So you'd need a high ISO and long exposures, then lot of photos to put into a timelapse.
This is so beautiful! Do you mind if I use it for a video of mine? I'll be sure to give you all the credit! Let me know, thanks! This is really cool! Thumbs up! =D
Ok; I've got my D50 and, since getting Nikon Capture Pro, I've been able to exponentially expand the scope of what I can do with my camera and time lapse! I use your video as a benckmark for what I hope to be able to do with my D50 but I have a couple questions. 1) What lens are you using in this video and 2) are you pressing the suhher button or using a seperate controller/programme to set the off the shutter? Thanks! - Steve
all you northern hemisphere peeps miss out on the best view of the Milky Way which is best seen from downunder here in Australia - oh man you can look straight at the centre of the galaxy from here on a clear night, it's like a Spielberg special effect and all you need is dark adapted eyes and bottle of cold beer!
i was in arizona and the whole time it was cloudy. im afraid i missed out on my chance to see something that beautiful with my own eyes. ohio sucks. maybe someday...
You can see tens of thousands, maybe almost a hundred thousand stars with the naked eye or basic binoculars or a basic telescope out of the almost a trillion stars in our galaxy alone.
hey thanks, still photos can be combined with video editing software (Adobe premier), exposures change with the lighting and range up to 30 sec in the full nighttime.
It's when you watch a night sky time lapse that you realise how small we are in the universe or, dare I say it, stuck to a ball of dust by gravity and spinning through space!
