I had short bowel syndrome when I was born. The only difference, was that my intestines were born on the inside of my stomach. I had to have 75% of my intestines removed. Doctors told my mom to prepare for a funeral because I wouldn't survive through the night. By morning, I was off the respirator and breathing on my own. So glad to hear that Elizabeth is doing well.
