Believe it or not, I had a dream back in 2007 or 2008 where I actually met Sierra Boggess during a concert recital. If memory serves, she was in her Ariel costume and after she finished her song, we both gave each other an affectionate hug.

Apart from having easily one of the most gorgeous voices I've ever heard, Sierra Boggess always puts passion into her work like no one I've seen. The energy and just...PASSION she puts into her performances are just so breath-taking. I saw her perform in the 25th Anniversary of Phantom via movie theatre and I swear, she opened up a completely new door of depth and emotion to Christine that I've never seen before. She is absolutely SUPERB. :)

Her placement on "above" was a tad off - beginning to slide back into the throat, I think - but it's an otherwise fantastic performance. I've also seen other videos where she does better, so it could've been a vocal issue on that day. Also, I love how she never acts cold while she's wearing next to nothing, and the audience is all in heavy coats...now that I think about it, cold weather could've been what was messing with her voice.

@BassActor7 also, just the acoustics of a studio room and just being in a different room. sometimes it's really difficult if you can't hear your voice properly due to the ambience and acoustics of a room. But these are things only the musically trained to really hear. honestly, it was a pretty good performance.

well, if the character had an actual tail she couldn't walk adequately. this is a stage adaptation of hand-drawn animation; not an easy thing to do, especially if the characters aren't originally human.

@TinkIero The creative team expirimented with a color much closer to that of what was in the film before it came to Broadway. But when they tried with all of the make-up and the lighting effetcs, it looked awful. Ariel would have looked more like a clown then a beautiful mermaid. With this hair color she looks like a genuine redhead. Sometimes accuracy isn't always the best choice for adapting different entertainment mediums.
