  • I thought of that, but the New seat was about $35 and weighs 7 pound compared to 32 or so pounds. The scooter weighs 45 pounds as it is, fairly easy to swing in a trunk, but I wouldn't want it any heavier. I'm thinking of adding a rack or milk crate to the back of the seat some day. Great Ideas. Thanks for the comment.

  • I would get a seat from a junkyard since they allow you to adjust the seat back. You can chop the seat back down to fit better inside the car? Add a back pack to the seat rear to carry gear smoke jumpers use these huge red bags they are great for saddle bags I have one on my scooter I can bring home the groceries and I got them for $2 yard sale they are huge.

  • This was originally a stand up scooter and here In the state of Washington where I live stand ups or OK most places. Because of the bad reputation they got from young kids driving carelessly and loudly, lots of counties, cities and towns have created their own laws governing these vehicles. A bicycle type seat was an option for some of these scooters, and I'm just carrying this idea a little further.

  • What states is this legal? If it had peddles.. like front wheel drive it might be legal in all state.

  • I like it.

Ok now hook your PACT trailer to this.

  • How much did it cost to build? about $100. I payed $50 for the scooter and $38 for the seat. The rest was scrap metal and extra parts I had laying around my shop.

This is a one off. Not for sale, just showing what can be done with a little creativity and effort.

  • oops. lol. "Remove" is not working, so I have to edit my comment.. and clicking "Reload" I hear you (again) say the battery on your first scooter didnt last long, so scratch the battery idea..... Anyway, I dont mean 150mph lol. 150 mpg.

  • how much? I also like the electric idea, but at 150mph, I and the planet can probably still afford this ride.

  • You're too kind Graycious3.... and you made my day :)

  • I could maybe help you but I'd need more info.

  • Thats a cool and comfortable looking scooter. I like your projects. Have you ever made a bicycle camping trailer? I'd be interested in that!
