I don't think you played it wrong. It's just the sound you are using that makes this nice solo sound like an old cel phone.

You're trying to emulate the huge hammond organ sound here! So try going more crazy in your guitar timbre!

Thanks for the constructive comment :) I really appreciate it...

But I'd like to point out that I'm not really trying to emulate the "organ tone", sounds crappy because of the small amp and the webcam microphone, but even with the good amp and a good microfone in front of it, it will sound like a distorted lead guitar, and not an hammond :)

I've a friend who uses the Roland V-Synth to emulate nicely the hammond tone, but is not my intent to do such a thing :)

Sono d'accordo.Fa parte del percorso musicale "privato"di ognuno provare quante più armonie ti capiti di ascoltare,a prescindere dal fatto che le riproporrai con la gente con cui suoni,qualcosa "nelle mani" ti resta sempre e contribuisce a personalizzare il tuo stile.Ti consiglio di provare anche le scale arabiche usate dai suonatori di oud magrebini,oppurtamente riviste,con qualche semitono qua e là e con un suono lead hard rock,sono straordinarie.Ciao.

Grazie ^^ Penso che sia stimolante per un chitarrista riarrangiare e trasporre soli di altri strumenti, lo stesso Blackmore suggeriva di tirarsi giù sulla chitarra i soli di sassofono, ed in effetti sono esperienze che cambiano la percezione dello strumento ^^

In ogni caso a me piace suonare lento, piace suonare veloce (quando me lo posso permettere o quasi) e piace suonare mid-tempo, dipende solo da cosa voglio trasmettere in quel momento...

mi chiedo se tutti questi shredder sentano una sola nota... non hanno per niente gusto musicale, bisogna concentrarsi sull'espressività non sula tecnica. Solo tremilanote sparate a raffica senza senso e groove... è piu difficile andare "piano" è piu difficile raggiungere un feeling con lo strumento, che questi non raggiungeranno mai perchè solo tecnicismo fine a se stesso, mentre la tecninca dovrebbe essere solo il trasduttore del proprio feeling

Il tuo commento è sensato, io personalmente non mi considero uno shredder, anche se ogni tanto mi piace misurarmi con difficoltà tecniche e virtuosismo (spesso fuori dalle mie reali possibilità).

Fino a prova contraria i tastieristi non fanno i bending ;) e questo è un assolo di tastiera... quando suoniamo Highway con la mia band il secondo solo, quello di Blackmore, rimane invariato ;)

That is the second fret, but depending on elastic and neck thickness you can even keep it on the first fret ;)

the sweeping is beautiful though, and mixing tapping and sweeping is a technique that i have been thinking that i wanna learn earlier too...when i get better (as good as you) of course. can't sweep yet =(
