Tonino call himself "a disciple of Paco de Lucia"...and I agree with you that Paco and Vicente have the best FLAMENCO technique on the world....but in rythm Tonino is so good than them...and I think Tonino the best in RUMBA rythm...(see the best Paco´s rumba: Entre Aguas...it´s far far away of Inspiracion, Passion, Faena, Redemption, Cataluña or Rumba tech of Tonino (GKs).

My friend, "mediocre" is a very hard term to a GKs fan....Tonino is professional musician of a important and folk/popular gitano rumba tradition (Spain and south France) and I say you that he is a virtuose. If you try to play guitar in the next40 years, you could not attain neither10% of his musicality and rythm. Nicolas too is a monster of gitano sing. So, continue to listen you great flamenco´s players, and stop to denigrate GKs music...

What's the fuss about being the best this or master that?

Gypsy Kings is a great entertaining group but I don't think any of their member is virtuoso great enough to be called master in any categories of flamenco. In fact, I would rate their talent mediocre at most, even though I enjoy going to their concert and hear them play.

Yeah me too! if anyone would post it up on youtube that would rock! Yeah Tonino has a son Michael, and the song Michael is on the CD Love and Liberte... but I don't think his son plays guitar on that song... I've seen his son play guitar and percussion sometimes in concert though... pretty cool

Paco de Lucia, Tonino Baliardo and Manitas De Plata are the best ever, but now KEMA BALIARDO from CHICO&THE GYPSIES and LUCAS PEDRO GOITIA from GITANO FAMILY are the best and faster, the next stars of the future flamenco and maybe are gonna be better because they learn directly from that masters of the guitar.
