It's nice to see the podcast staying alive despite the hiatus. It always makes me smile.
About the episode: Now I totally loved a ton of things about it. Even scary Pinkie. But I can't seem to get rid of the feeling that there was something wrong with it, though I can't really decide what breaks it. It's still a GREAT episode, but it won't make it into my absolute favourites for that reason.
I feel that many bronies disregard this feeling because they're so euphoric about Derpy. (yay Derpy!)
@pokemonfan000 I do my best! The podcast is significantly easier to edit than the normal episodes, so that helps, too.
Agreed. There was just something off. AJ wasn't really out of character, she was just acting like she did in Applebucking Season. There was good writing. Still, there was just... something.
A character acting different and unlikeable in a season 2 episode? I can honestly say I did not see that coming, oh my.
Season 2 seems to be character building by giving the ponies some flaws and undesirable personality traits. Such as Rainbow Dash acting like a jerk for two episodes in a row, and Rarity arguing with Sweetie Bell disregarding Twilight's birthday.
Maybe an upcoming Fluttershy episode will have her neglecting all the animals.
@jacksonnicholls That pretty much hits the nail on the head for why I didn't love the episode. I agree that this is definitely a trend for Season 2. I guess I liked my ponies more when they were better than human, I have Fallout Equestria for that.

@xandersendek I think it's a Pinkie Pie Promise, but I could be wrong. Don't get me wrong, I liked the episode, just not as much as everyone else seems to and I was disappointed with AJ.

I agree with you on that. Lesson Zero, Nightmare Night, Hearth Warmings Eve, and Baby Cakes were all fantastic and the others have been great, too.
