  • ha ha.

  • Electronic Hokey Cokey in German! Brilliant!

  • stupid motherfuckers!!!

  • @monoxydeish - the trouble with this style of comments and responses it is hard to tell if you are referring to Bill et al or the people who call the hokey Cokey the hokey pokey.

If it is the former then you really do not know Bill Bailey - he is one of the most intelligent comedians around. If you are referring to the latter... fair enough!

  • I love the hokey pokey!!! HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!

  • @bannie It's called the Hokey Cokey, not Hokey Pokey.

  • @DorsetRod - the dreaded yanks call it pokey

  • Bill's a comic genius !!!!!!!!!!!

  • BIll Bailey magic, I love Kraftwerk and nearly pissed myself first time I saw this. So funny!

  • You can also get 100 pissed up people in a night club or disco doing the Hokey Cokey, traditionally they all fall down in a big heap by the end of the dance. Good fun.

  • hahaaa i love this soo much

i've seen kraftwerk and also, Bill Bailey twice and now i have seen this! He's my fave comedian!!!

  • Can someone tell me what's funny? Because I feel like an outcast atm :>

  • @Zeadar They're doing a kraftwerk "version" of the Hokey Pokey. :)

  • @TheLocalBlackandLiz No, it's the Hokey Cokey ....an old fashioned dance popular in Britain with my grandparents in the 30s.

  • @DorsetRod same thing in the US, we just call it the Hokey Pokey. Still a wedding/bar mitzvah cheesy favorite.

  • @Zeadar You're a Swede & won't get it unless I tell you that the Hokey Cokey is an old fashioned dance where people form a circle and 'put your left leg in, your left leg out - in, out, in,out, shake it all about' -and do all the leg movements to the song. Something we might do at a village hall or your grandmother's party, associated with Cockneys in London. Now when you do the song in the modernist techo version like Kraftwerk with the immobile faces and static moves, it is funny, ja? No?

  • @DorsetRod Thanks a lot for that explaination. Without knowing that the video certainly is a bit hard to fully appreciate I would say!

  • @Airbuzz You're welcome, glad to be of help!

  • @DorsetRod

The song is also known here in Sweden, though it might not be as well known in all parts. =)

The most known version seems to be Honky Tonk by Moraträsk.

So if he has just missed the song or doesn't understand contrast comedy is hard to tell.

I pity him if it is the latter because then he would also have a hard time understanding Monty Pythons sketches like the "Ministry of funny walks".

  • Can anybody identify the other band members for me?

  • @mfnickster

The actor Kevin Eldon, Martin Trenaman, John Moloney

  • @binelmaus Ganz schön! Danke!!

  • I tell you what is ironic, they're wearing orange ties and black shirt, as for Kraftwerk in one of their videos they were wearing an orange shirt and a black tie :O

  • @PaybackTyme that's not Irony.

  • @PaybackTyme actually, I think they're making parody of Kraftwerk's Minimum-Maximum tour where they were wearing suits exactly like those.

  • world class haha bill bailey is fuckin quality

  • fan-dabby-tastic. a testement to the human soul... and german pop.

  • this makes me laugh every time i see it!

i watch it when i need a little laugh!

  • LOL

  • BRILLIANT!
