  • Elvis shits and pisses arround from fear and you fucking bitch think thats funny....

  • small rodents shouldn't get wet. Their small size results in a quick loss of body temperature when drying, and leaves them more vunerable to infections. The stress caused by their instinctual fear of water makes both of these problems worse. I'm sure you didn't mean any harm, but don't do this.

  • is that is small turd floating in the water?

  • bathing gerbils is cruel he looked so scared! you bath them with sand!!!! animal cruelty!!!!

  • That's abuse use SAND BATHS!!!!! Not WATER U BITCHES!

  • He looks so much like my gerbil, Sammy. He just died on Valentine's Day. :c

  • @SpiritWolf329 Awww.. sorry to hear :(

  • @TheMoirrey

didn't you notice how it's constantly trying to get out of the water, dipshit?

  • i know its a gerbil im not stupid i just like hamsters

  • PENIS PENIS PENIS sorry I just felt like sayin penis lol HAMSTERS ROCK

  • poor gerbil :(

  • making him panic for so long IS abuse. Enough with forcing animals in water that NEVER go in water when in the wild.

any animal that licks itself/bathes itself all over doesn't need to be bathed. DOGS do, however.

  • @al2275 are you simple?

    dogs lick themselves.

    good argument, Sophocles.

  • This isn't animal abuse, it was a small amount of water and if you noticed when the owner put her hand in the gerbil went straight to it showing complete trust, if it was scared it would have cowered away in fear.

  • I've had lots of gerbils, bathed them all, none died. They always had fun drying off afterwards (they'd slide their bodies across the towel I was holding them with; pretty cute). That aside, All of my gerbils always panicked about getting a bath, much like Elvis, but my current gerbil, Raven, will just sit in my hand and let me gently run warm water over him. Since he'll let me do that, I'm happy because it's cleaner than having him sit in water he's going to the bathroom in.

  • All these people saying this is animal abuse are fucking retards. Maybe gerbils don't like the cold, but not a single creature on EARTH has gotten a cold from cold water. When your grandma tells you not to go outside with wet hair when it's chilly outside because you'll get a cold, she doesn't know what she's talking about. You get a cold from the rhinovirus, and a gerbil who hasn't taken a bath can get a cold just as easily as one who didn't. Fucking 12 year old idiots.

  • ANIMAL ABUSE BITCHES! I have gerbils I'm 12 and I know they go in water! Sandbaths are healthy for them takes away oils also water gives gerbils a cold!!!!!!!!! U guys are cruel!

  • but hamster can't go to water,itwill sick(50%)

  • As for the video. He was adorable all wet but yes you shouldn't EVER do that with desert rodents. Just don't do that again cause if he didn't get sick that time you got lucky. They catch cold very easy. And need to be kept around 75 to 80 degrees.

  • Are you people seriously lashing out at the people in this video?! Get over yourselves. You are calling these girls idiots and names when all that happened was they were misinformed. Shit happens. Wow. And we wonder why our world is going to shit. Because everyone is so passive aggressive and like to start fights with each other over the littlest thing. Over population. Hey kinda like when you have to many gerbils in a small cage for to long. They can get aggressive over the littlest twitch.

  • (continuing...) Even if the gerbil in case has passed away two years ago in ripe age of four, two years after his bath. ;)

  • who did this - you are very stupid!!

  • @marenuta you're right it's really feeble! poor gerbil

  • Yesssss, YOU would find it VERY funny if YOU had the feeling to be fighting for YOUR LIFE, wouldn't YOU?!!!

  • wie kann mann so blöd sein! die badet mann nicht dafür gibts badesand!

  • Poor gerbil!!! Hope you didn´t do this anymore... normally they wash into sandbath. I don´t know why you did with it?

  • arents gerbils supposed to get sand baths

  • @rjsusko And wet tail

  • Yeaaaah, this probably did more harm than good. Bathing gerbils in water strips their fur of its natural oils and can potentially end in them catching cold. All of the people saying that those who are upset at this water bath don't know what they're talking about... well, don't know what THEY are talking about.

That said, everyone makes mistakes... hopefully the owner has learned not to do this again!

  • U DUMB STUPID BITCHES I WOULD LOVE TO KICK BOTH OF U TRAMPS ASSES...U NEVER GET THEM WET YOU FKING IDIOTS

  • that is soooooooooooooooo cruel i would never do that i agree with the first two comments

  • FUCK U!

  • Why??? The poor mouse!!! This is animal cruelty!!!! I have two mice, and tehey are so nice and sweet, why are you doing something like that?????

  • animal abuse? wtf! if it was animal abuse why would they sell GERBIL SHAMPOO,

  • @HOLLIEandABBEY for the same reason why people sell smokes to others - FOR MONEY! Gerbils get cold very easily and often it is very hard to cure them. DO NOT EVER WASH YOUR GERBIL

  • I have 2 gerbils and I thought the books said it was not good for them to get wet unless u r showing them and have like a heat lamp to immediately dry them off...... Poor gerbil he looks cold....

  • Haters always have no clue about what's their actually talking about; definitely can't spell; probably have broken keyboards with permanent caps on - and my all time favourite...no punctuation marks but for '!'.

Some people really need to get their fat behind off the chair and go get a taste of something called life. They might actually find it rather pleasing.

Oh, and I think the gerbil's damn cute.

  • @opheliadarkthorn I'd be grateful if the owner let this gerbil taste something called life, instead of drowning it or making it catch some disease

  • animal cruelty - you should be locked up !!

  • Assassinos! Killers!

  • this is fucking animal abuse

  • they could get neuomona or wat ever!

  • WTF R U DOIN? THIS IS ANIMAL ABUSE! THEY HATE WATER! THATS WHY THEY SELL DUST AT PET STORES! THEY CAN DROWN! THEY CAN GET SICK! AND ITS NOT GOOD FOR THEIR COAT!

    ~geeze

  • @MrFried52

a little bit of warm water can't harm a rodent, I know this by experience. Sometimes, they get nasty things stuck on their fur and its hard to remove without water. My hamster got her bum dirty with a vegetable and I had to wash it off. As long as you ensure that she is kept warm while drying, their shouldn't be a problem.

  • tirqueler aber übelst

  • i dont think there is need for nasty comments but i agree that the gerbils shouldnt be put in water, they are desert animals. I have some cute gerbil videos, check them out x

  • FLOATER!!!!!!

  • sick motherfucker

  • DO NOT PUT YOUR GERBIL IN WATER! They get sick!! Awwe poor baby!!

  • I don't think rodents arre supposed to be in water..but he's really cute!!!

  • poor Elvis...

  • Thatz not a gerbil u idots thats a freakin rat

  • @emoboyzrock1 ur stupid.

  • @emoboyzrock1 Its a Gerbil.

  • @emoboyzrock1 i think you are an idiot cause it is a gerbil actuly go to the doctor and get brain surgery

  • !!!!! GERBILS DON'T LIKE WATER !!!!!!

  • All life is important.

  • tierquäler

  • Tierquälerei... oder hat einer schon mal frei lebende Mäuse baden sehen?!!!!!

  • lol u guys are so upset over an animal but when i see stuff like kids dying nobody cares this much

  • @xbox360monkey why should anyone care if a human dies? We have our chances, but pets are on our mercy.

  • you are insane!

this is the worst thing you do to your gerbil!

  • i bathe my gerbils in warm water and a little critter shampoo. Ive done this for years. its easy, fun, and i dont have dust all over. they seem to enjoy it and are fine in the end

  • @cowgirl10387 still theres always a possibility that ur gerbil will get sick better to be safe than sorry :3

  • dosnt look lika a fucking fish to me

  • Yeah, you shouldn't really bath them unless they get hurt or in a fight, then it's okay to clean their wounds but...it's not necessary. Although, he did look pretty cute.

  • Geez. My gerbil dropped himself into some cold water that he splashed around in for a good few minutes before we could catch him and get him out. He did not get sick, and he did not die (until years later from old age). Yes, bathing your gerbil in water is completely unecessary and not really something you should do, but telling the owner to burn in hell?

    Grow up.

  • @xTwitterpated The thing is, if you bathe your gerbil every week without knowing what the consequences are it can lead to something much more serious like pneumonia or wet tail.

  • @HelpWithYourGerbils Acutally bathing your animals will never lead to wet tail unless you dont dry them off. You might want to learn some facts before advising others and pnueamiona agian you must dry off your animal. Signed A vet with 20 years of experience

  • @xTwitterpated yeah maybe once wont hurt yours just fell in if they bath it loads then the gerbil will most probably get ill

  • dude don't put your gerbil in water

  • This us crank !!! After this The Mouse is ill i hate so people !

  • OMG! Poor animal! :(

    He can be ill!

  • just s you know, next time get some "special just" at the store because they are not supposed to get them wet :)

  • You immature little brats, didn't you even research about your animal... GERBILS HATE WATER,( except when they drink it) THEY ARE DESERT CREATURES... You cruel people! HOW WOULD YOU LIKE IT IF I PUT YOU IN THE SEA AND IT WAS 100METRES DEEP??? EVERYONE FLAG AS INNAPROPRIATE!!!

  • i dont want to scare you our anything but YOUR GERBIL CAN DIE FROM GETTING wet put a towel over them so they dont get cold and die!

  • Hey Oneilvt, don't you have a conscience??? How can you keep this video up on YouTube?? What you are doing here is WRONG and cruel. This animal DOES NOT enjoy being thrown in a sink and immersed in water!!! You laugh as this poor gerbil wants nothing more than to be out of that sink. Gerbils should not be placed in water! I'm a breeder and know this. Please remove this video so kids don't see it and copy this irresponsible act that's animal cruelty. Have some heart.

  • Any children watching this...PLEASE DO NOT PUT YOUR GERBILS IN WATER!!! This is cruel and sick!!!!!! YouTube really needs to remove this. No good can come from this video.

  • This is like animal abuse.Never give Gerbils baths. Its horible for them.Didnt you see that he was trying to climb out?

  • No wonder he's trying to get out. It's not natural. Pets are not toys.

But it still doesn't mean you need to use that many capitals, abbreviations and exclamation marks. Such reactions don't make this less sad...

  • OMG WTF??

DO NOT GIVE YOUR GERBILS BATHS. They are very clean animals, and they groom themselves and each other constantly. I've owned gerbils for more then a decade, so I know what I'm talking about.

If you must, buy them chinchilla sand, and they can take a bath in there.

    ......................................

  • You're not supposed to bath a gerbil you dick

  • why he has long tail?

  • @ElwingOronar17 because hi is a gerbil !!!!!! not a hamster !!!!

  • omg how dare you put a gerbil in the water they could get sick thats why they have sand bath !!!!!!

  • @annabearhug Absolutley! Please don't do that again...

  • @annabearhug Some gerbils acutally may get wet tial or acutally have cuts and bahting gerbils isnt wrong its acutally good to baht your geribl once a year or when you notic a bad smell as snad bathing only removes some dirt and oils.. Bitch learn you facts

  • @JonesGal14 maybe you should shut up caused i owned gerbils since i was 8 and i know how to treat them and there is a special sand that they can bathe in you f...... ass hole

  • @JonesGal14 sure then what vet do you work at ?? ha??

  • @annabearhug Aspca in texas im a medical staff for abondened.

  • @JonesGal14 Hope you never treat my pets, if you can't even write your own language. Jesus Fucking Christ...

  • @SirMiran e only wash geribls when injured or severally dirty due to dirty cages or some dieseases. We properly dry off the animal with a light small animal blow dyer :) Sorry fo the mistyping im typing fast srry

  • @annabearhug Your fucking stupid. How the fuck do wild gerbils survive in the wilderness? Oh! They swim! D8

    LETS FREAK THE FUCK OUT!

  • @nekogaaramwchan Idiot. Gerbils are desert animals. So they DO NOT SWIM, if they can avoid it. Their fur becomes COMPLETELY and THOROUGHLY WET unlike most of the rodents (rat for an example) whose (whatstheword) base fur stays dry, so they get sick easier.

  • @SirMiran Lol. Excusseee meeee Mr. Know-it-all.

I'm sure the damn hamster will survive, it's not like the water is that deep. What if that gerbil had something nasty on it's back? They were probably just cleaning it off. Big whoop.

I did it to my hamster, and she loves water. But that was because she rolled around in her shit and I didn't want her to get some disease or infection. You just have to make sure you don't wash the hamster all the time, then it will get sick.

    Chill out, man.

  • @nekogaaramwchan First: the species discussed is gerbil (Meriones unguiculatus) not hamster (Mesocricetus Auratus). Naturally gerbils live in desert and wash themselves with sand. Their fur (and whole body!) has evolved for life with very little water. I have no doubt that your hamster takes water-washing well, some subspecies of the Cricetinae live in riverbanks after all. Point is, these two rodents are completely different species with different needs.

  • OMG !This is the FREAKING SECOND gerbil you're torturing !!! That's sick

  • Tier quälerei!

  • Uh, gerbils are desert animals. They need sand baths, not water baths.

  • YOU'RE A DUMBASS !! FYI: BATHING HAMSTERS/GERBILS/RATS WITH WATER, WASHES OFF THE SPECIAL OILS IN THE FUR OF HAMSTERS/GERBILS/RATS, MAKING THEM PRONE TO FREEZING TO DEATH ! But that's what you want, don't you. -_- smgdh !

  • ur not supposed to give it a plain water bath ur supposed to give it either a sand bath or a powder bath or a dust bath either one water irritatesthere ski and is realy dangerous!!im not suprised if its dead already

  • @wantinggogra108 Actually, sand is best. Dust is very bad for a gerbil's lungs since it's so fine. But you can get Chinchilla sand and it works great! My Derpy loves it and won't bathe in anything else lol

  • did u wash his face?! bitch

  • Im not laughing ._. you're insane!!

  • not good to give them baths only SAND BATHS are good for them or they get to cold....

  • this is NOT funny....... :(

  • Hey stop laughing it ain't funny your gonna KILL it!

  • awwwww :)

  • aww he look like me gerbil

  • @Gibbo37711 Sigh....It's people like you that ruin the video for me....You can't read the gerbil his mind, so you can not decide whether he likes it or not. Next time leave your little 'treehugging' comments on youtube behind.

  • I have to give my gerbil a water bath bcz the other gerbil pees on her and then she smells and has a darker color on her

  • @cassielucky5 you don't give gerbils baths!!!!!

  • THAT IS SO CRUEL TO THE POOR GERBIL!!!

  • good way to exersize, but gerbils and hamsters clean themselves, and if you give him a bath, he could catch a cold...

  • I only get wwarm(not very hot)rg and wipe them off -3- .

  • @HistoricalRevolution Yeah, bye. World is better off without you anyway.

  • @HistoricalRevolution Argue is such a strong word, it says that 2 people with different opinions are speaking to each other in a harsh manner.

Yet I am lobbing facts at you so your not arguing at all, your just making yourself sound like a complete idiot.

  • @HistoricalRevolution lol gerbils dont drink water in the desert, they survive off the moisture on the wet walls of there burrows and most of there hydration comes from what they eat.

    You really this stupid?

  • He was sniffing and bobbing up in down, not in excitement but in panic, he doesent know where he is...he is getting his bearings and figuring out where he just got lifted up and put. His instincts dont tell him to run from water, water is the desert is rare and gerbils dont even know what it is..they are a very curious animals and him sitting in the water not knowing what to do, is exactly whats happening here

YOUR THE STUPID PRICK YA FUCKING IDIOT. ANYONE THAT OWNS GERBILS WILL AGREE WITH ME.

  • @Gibbo37711 I agree with you! A gerbil needs no water bath, but in a white powder special for him!

  • @HistoricalRevolution lol ok right, its a rodent same thing? OK a so a guinea pig is the same as a gerbil. Next you will be telling me that a whale is a fish cause it lives in water.

Wet tail is caused by wetness and rapid change in body temperature for the Gerbil, unless that person stuck a thermometer up that poor things ass that water was either hotter or colder than the gerbils body temp.

  • @HistoricalRevolution 1. Its not a fucking rat, its a gerbil 2. Yes it can hurt them very badly, they can get a condition called Wet Tail and it can be fatal. 3. Gerbils live in the desert, there insticts are not built around surviving in water....it is stressful and a stressed Gerbil can die of many things.

So before you comment how about YOU FUCKING LEARN? Stupid prick.

  • my gerbils love water.. that actually swim in it..

  • When I first used pine bedding I noticed one of my females had a rash and a very raw nose. I changed the bedding to shredded cardboard (hypoallergenic), and it still wasn't helping. I used a warm damp washcloth to clean her and she has been just fine. Plus, I don't use any type of wood bedding.

  • You can put a bowl of play sand (non toxic) or sand from the pet store in their cage. You shouldn't do what you did here. You can tell it's terrified.

  • ANIMAL ABUSE

  • this breaks my heart man. not cool. wish i could go scoop up the little one and feed him a nice sunflower seed. </3

  • Oh my God, I feel ashame watching this and I realise how evil and despicable we, the human beings, are. We are shit, just using the animals for our own fun wihout realising the consequences that those facts imply. Let the gerbil alone!! doesn´t need a fucking bath!!!!!!!!!

  • If that gerbils gets sick its your fault >:(

  • Fucking pricks,

  • wow you guys are idiots and don't deserve the happiness of owning a pet. gerbils live in the desert, not the ocean, you're not supposed to give them baths, they clean themselves!

  • you no they could just be kids they might of not known that you cant put gerbils in the water, so please stop making all these bad comments its just not fair on them !!!!! =(

  • Oneilvt, why don't you have some dignity and pull this video down? It's the responsible thing to do. Afterall, you don't want kids all over the world copying this and immersing their gerbils in water. Gerbils are desert animals, not sea creatures!

  • When the f*ck is YouTube going to remove this discusting video!!!!!???!!!

  • Poor gerbil... Poor, poor gerbil and you´re just laughing. I did also flag this as inappropriate, animal abuse.

  • I cried. Look at him trying to run out.

  • Moron. You are aware that you don't bathe gerbils, right? They're desert creatures! You give them a chinchilla dust bath to roll around in. I reported this for animal abuse.

  • rodents cannot get wet their fur is not waterproof, they can get wet tail, and take long time to dry!

  • You guys are fucking retarded. I feel bad for that gerbil. You guys are careless.

  • NEVER get gerbils wet they are supposed to have a dust bath with chinchilla dust or cornmeal they can get wet tail by doing this

  • can u upload a video of gerbils shove in your ass?

  • @MrKaijudo wtf dude?

  • It's so cute but it's not a nice thing to do to your pet.

  • What's the problem? i had to give my gerbils a bath because our cats were too interested and gave them fleas. As long as you dry them off and hold them in a towel, they'll be fine.

  • Are you stupid who puts a gebal in the sink? Get a life because clearly you want to kill it and you have no life!!

  • what a fock you doing idiot

  • YOU FUCK HEAD DONT EVER HAVE A PET AGAIN EVER EVER EVER EVER AND STUDIE AN ANIMAL BEFORE YOU GO DOING SHIT IDIOT FUCK FUCK FUCK IMA PUT U IN A BIG GLASS BOWL AND LAUGH AS YOU TRY TO GET OUT BITCH. ASSHOLE HORE FUCKER ANAL RAPIST UGHH!

  • @ConfusedBabies she can buy her pets all she want you know what you dont have to be so so sooooooooooooo! mean about it god meany!

  • i cant belive ur laughing at the poor gerbil it could die!

  • You really need to look at him and see if he looks scared cold or even sad. Lets say you were that cute little gerbil and them eveything is wet on you and people dont even give you something to dry off you people need to respect your pet that is so horrible.

  • What the HELL are you thinking?!?!?! can you not see that your poor gerbil is HATING it?! theyre DESERT animals!!!!!!

  • maybe you should get dropped under water like this.. poor little animal! thats so disgusting and horrible -.-*************

  • you dumb fuck !!!!!!!! this aint funny dip shit !!!!!! you can fucking kill him you dumbassss bitcch !! daafukkk is youuur probleeem HOE!

  • EVERYONE "FLAG AS INAPPROPRIATE", ITS NEXT TO "SHARE" THEN GO TO "VIOLENT OR REPULSIVE CONTENT" THEN SELECT "ANIMAL ABUSE"

People see videos like this, dont read the comments and think its ok and funny, especially little spoilt brats. Thumbs up once you have done the above!!!

  • @Gibbo37711 you are fucking retarded. I'm probably sure you'd laugh if it was a baby getting a 'bath time.'

  • @Gibbo37711 you're exaggerating.

  • @Gibbo37711 i bet you that things already dead so your waisting your own time and other by telling people to do this

  • @Gibbo37711 Dude, this is not abuse. It can't drown in that little of water, this isn't violent or repulsive, and it doesn't seem to be very distressed. All of you bleeding heart drama queens need to get the fuck over yourselves.

  • I have two gerbils and I can tell you know that is not a very good idea. Gerbils don't need baths they groom themselves/eachother. The only bath they need and like is a sand bath. Don't do this to your gerbil anymore, he can get sick and he looks terrified in the video :( I'm not criticising or saying your a bad pet owner I am just giving you some advice

  • @TheBrazilianChannel - CONCORDO ..O ANIMAL FICA PAVORADO, COM MUITO MEDO DE MORRER!

  • @Telmaluz essa garota eh maluca...eu jamais faria isso com os meus bichinhos...eh muita crueldade
