Um, what game you playing? Space Cadet on Windows 95? How about showing up for a tournament sometime instead of trying to piss on the players? If you think you can so easily beat these players, why aren't you showing up to try and win $10,000?
It makes the game a lot more interesting when that kicker feeds the upper flipper! Otherwise, the upper flipper hardly gets any use. Take a video of yours! I'd love to see that kicker slam the ball in the air...
After getting an email from PL, I checked the coil, it's the wrong one! I have had this game for a few years, diligently playing away thinking all was well. It never misses the ramp either! I assumed it was normal since the angle is perfect to hit the ramp. I would have never known, but carefully watching this video, I see the left ramp being shot after plunging to thing saucer. I am like WHAT???? And it's been years since 92 so memory did not kick in. Thanks for helping me find this out.
Tom, the Thing saucer doesn't kick to the shooter lane / swamp area. It kicks to the upper flipper. I've never seen a TAF where that kicker didn't operate this way.
This tournament machine was 100%. Boy, Player 1 sure sucked!
The thing saucer kicks the ball to the shooter lane ramp that leads to the swamp. When the thing saucer kicker is weak, the ball doesn't make it up the ramp and the ball dribbles down to the upper right flipper.
This weakness leads right into a jackpot shot which normally would have to be set up with a shot through the pops.
Bowen, you are correct in that the saucer should only feed the upper flipper. I have confirmation from the most reliable source. My machine must be some freak of nature.
Maybe someone can confirm this.....seems to me watching the game play that the thing saucer was not kicking to the shooter lane/swamp. I saw several left ramp to jackpot shots directly after plunging to the thing saucer. This can only happen if the thing saucer kicker is not kicking up to the shooter lane ramp, then rolling into the swamp (which would be normal). I guess it's a wash when everyone has the same advantage. just strabge that a tournament machine isn't 100%. - Tom
As Bowen said, the ball never returns to the shooter lane. What's your deal with Keith anyway? He's proven over and over that he can kick the worlds ass at pin, and yes he really can bang back a TZ with a mean tilt.
Doesn't it count as a "delay of game" when he hold steh flipper for 30 seconds in order to turn off the Power magnets?
