was that guitar built by jim? or is it the aria model or fender model? i've inherited a d'aquisto excel from my father that jim built in 1978. i've been around music and guitars my entire life and there isnt a guitar that comes close to d'aquisto. i dont understand how you couldn't be satisfied with it, if it was an original.

You could have just changed the pickup if you weren't happy with the amplified sound, i think it's a great guitar

I was not happy with my D'Aquisto, that's why I sold it.
They're built perfectly, and sound great acoustically, but the amplified sound sucks.
I have an Ibanez 2355, which sounds way better and costs a third.
