I could not wait for them to leave. I would put my mother's lip sick, high heels pretty dress on, and dance with a broom stick. One nght I fell over in the living room' our dog woke up the entire hood of dogs. A taxi pulled up, I not knowing it was four am. I danced all night, and had a ball. Dance .

  • This is still my ultimate calypso tune. A timeless classic!!!

  • Timeless indeed. If you ask me I will say this tune is one of the best composed song ever. On the same level with Los Lobos Labamba.

  • @planetolusola -- La Bamba is an old Mexican song. Richie Valens was the first rock version, and arguably the most famous. Los Lobos (a great band mind you) likely covered Richie's interpretation.

  • @cheyanqui thanks for the correction.

    PEACE.

  • JHEEZ!!! CHOOOON!!!

  • There is an old reggae version (sounds studio one-ish) of this. Anyone know it or know who it's by?

  • I may be totally wrong as its not a version of this song but there is a very well know studio one-ish song called "hey fatty bum bum" by Carl Malcolm-I'd be very surprised if its not on Youtube

  • No that's a different song all together, but thanks anyway

  • Then I haven't heard of it but I mentioned to my dad and he reckons its by Eddy Grant of Electric Avenue fame on the "Soca Baptism" album.
