  • can you say to me, at least, the lirycs?thanks

  • I really can't comment on who has control over Amy's music, voice (audio files) and likeness (video footage), because I dont know. I do know, however, that Amy was recording long before she ever got signed, AND long after Back 2 Black.I refuse to believe that "Between the Cheats" was the last "new Amy Winehouse song". Unlike many people, I followed her career long before she passed, and in several cases, I took note of alleged recorded reggae/ska album and material that was "too dark"

  • @monthervil Mitch is confirmed to be the head of Amy's estate(for a long time now). If your a musician and someone is the head of your estate they are automatically going to have control over your "art"---In that case that would be music.

So it is not even heresay or anything like that. Mitch definitely has control over Amy's music.

Seriously though---They should have released those reggae/ ska songs and put the onto "Lioness". That would have fit the reggae theme and been a great album title

  • @AlphaBionic2016 Lioness would be a great title for an album full of reggae/ ska songs. They should have released THOSE songs onto its.---Along with "Our Day Will Come"(a ska song).

Then other songs like "Like Smoke" and "Halftime" could have been bonus songs.

  • @monthervil you and everyone else who ever read any news on her. she did write a lot but was very rarely seen recording... there is definitely material but no-one's being completely honest on whether they will be releasing it and when.

  • Sounds a bit similar to Trilby.

  • "Blow it all on bags and shoes, jazz and blues!" sums up what Amy spent her money on when she was younger; the things she loved. Cool song, honest lyrics.

  • @monthervil Maco!!!!! Where have you been, bro? lol Giovani here.

  • @simasf lol I'm here, working on music, so I was asked to lay low for a while. I Saw that you shared some of my stuff....that's really kind of you, Giovani; now, if my music does well, if I win grammys, I'll have you to thank. You'll be part of the reason ! :)

  • @simasf, Yes I do.

  • @mjacobs415 Hey, can you share the song please?? And how did you get it

  • @tselekoglu I'm so so sorry, but I'm definetely unable to share this file with anyone because of copyright. :( I'm trying to find a way to be able to make this available on internet, but for a while I can't even send it to my friends...all I can do is to share this lil preview.

  • @simasf I couldnt understand. Cant you send me whole song as an e-mail? Only me? So, there wont be any copyright fault?

  • @tselekoglu Sorry, not possible yet. I'll do that when I'm able to. Inbox me your e-mail anyway :)

  • @simasf Mitch Winehouse you are such a tease. I am honestly trying to see what the point of uploading a 5 second song......

  • @AlphaBionic2016 This one has nothing to do with Mitch. He probably hasn't got any idea about this song. It was uploaded on SoundClound and I put it here: that's all. And I don't think he's a tease...her record label is, not him.

  • @simasf I was teasing when i called you Mitch Winehouse obviously. By the way your making it seem like her record label has more control over releasing the music then Mitch does. Myself and other people suspect that Mitch is the one who is blocking certain songs from coming out. Do yo think Darcus Beese and other people at Island Records made the decisions themselves to not release certain songs Amy made?

No it is Mitch. Read between the lines

  • @AlphaBionic2016 That doesn' make any sense for me. If he is supposed to "make money" with Amy's death, why would he block the release of more music?

  • @simasf ....Who is in charge of Amy's estate? And since you brought up the "make money" part, he has a book coming out on Amy this July. By the way i am not going to say he doesn't love his daughter or anything or is completely sleazy or anything like that(before you think that is what i am saying)

But like i said who is in charge of Amy's estate? We know their a songs that Amy recorded especially from 2008/ 2009 when she made all those songs for the ska/ reggae album.

  • @AlphaBionic2016 ..Yes I do agree You know who..Such a shame, greed overides legend..

  • @michelangelo2me Exactly. It is painfully obvious and can be seen through the lines. Who else would be keeping the songs hidden.....Janis? No most likely it is Mitch that is doing all of this. People cant just be doubtful because he is Amy's father.

I am not saying that the songs will ALWAYS be blocked.....but FOR NOW Mitch is definitely not allowing them to be released.I just wish he did not have such a stranglehold on the songs.

I wish we could just hear them

  • @AlphaBionic2016 ..As I my friend as I..

  • @AlphaBionic2016 Oh, now I see your point. I agree with nearly all you wrote there. You know, I've got a list of about 25 unreleased songs by Amy, there's too much unreleased stuff we never heard (including live versions of b-sides such as What Is It About Men, Fool's Gold, Help Yourself and 'round Midnight) but for now they won't give clues that there'll be more and better music because they want everyone paying attention just on "Lioness". It's definetely something Amy wouldn't be proud.

  • @simasf Her dad is a very frustrating man---Especially with his recent comments about that fashion show that was tributing Amy.

I honestly do not understand the guy's mind process.

Does he think his daughter would be happy that he is releasing a book INSTEAD of actual music?

Can anyone here think that Amy would have been happy that her artwork was being "locked"

  • @AlphaBionic2016 Youre right. In my opinion, "Lioness" should have been the title of a more reggae-sounding album. "Hidden Treasures" should have been the title of previously unheard material from the Frank and B2B era. Before Amy died, people from the industry were talking and saying that the new music they heard from her was unbelieveable & even better than B2B.I read that she'd been in the studio with Snoop Dog and also with Missy Elliott. Amy was not just drinking & vactioning for THREE years

  • @simasf I keep reading about a guitarist named John Bigham in the funk/soul band Fishbone and many times Amy is mentioned.Do you think there could be a connection to Edward Bigham?

  • @simasf not even e'mail?

  • @mjacobs415 Have you got the song in full?

  • This came from me.

  • @mjacobs415 Is that you Mitch???

  • Where did you get this? We want the whole song :(

  • I's love to hear the whole song....it sounds amazing.

  • I hope we get the whole song :) ...Please?

  • bags and shoes, jazz and blues. love it.
