  • sold this car to a buddy of mine, it had 63k miles on it, Motor still in great shape, only things replaced were the brakes, battery(never changed) and transmission. He got an extended warranty and honda rebuilt it :) i still get to drive her now and then as long as i leave the roush with him lol

  • lol wtf are u doing that?

  • weigraf34 ....... why would you ever get such a inclination such as the one you just had ? give your car to a more deserving person or learn what a car is and how it works

  • @slizzle2k

lol some ppl are noobs... its all go tho, sometimes you gotta ask stupid questions starting out with a new car... i guess

  • yo that is fucking sick, i got an 08 coupe i/h/e, and tomorrow im for sure getting flashpro, looks badass man... so u can even adjust ur gear ratios???

  • @weigraf34

no no, watch my other vid. 08 si 122ci, what redline!? its when i had i/h/e reflash clutch/fly solid mounts etc... lol

  • just passed 54k.. still runs good.

  • With your reflash, are you doing 8600 on stock internals?? If so, that is amazing, i guess i underestimated how strong this motor is, probably strongest K20 there is.

  • @dunkchamp It better be amazing, considering the old B engines ran 8600/8900 redline. The only part I don't like on the K20 is the intake manifold. The rest is built pretty solid. Runs very tight for a Honda engine, considering the K24 and the R18 run pretty loose.

  • wooow.. 8-9000 rpms your losing mad power..look how the speed-o slows down... that car wasnt designed with the type of rev limit. You want that kind of rev limit, just pick up an S2k.

  • Si k20z3's are made to be high Reving motherfluffing loving motherlovers.

  • nah it's harder on a Honda to not redline I think lol

  • lol dumbass little kids who know nothing. engine is fine

  • UR CAR BLEW ITS ENGINE DUMBASS

  • ???

  • ur gunna blow your engine dumbass

  • The video was made over a year ago... I've got 43000 miles on it and it's an 08. Still running strong as hell no problems what so ever. She's been riden hard and put away wet. Pretty much tracked the car every week. Recently put a stg2 clutch in and checked everything out from the ground up. She's not breaking anytime soon ;)

  • yeah some people are just fuckin retarded, I run my 08 hard too, works great, I make sure i change the oil every 5k

  • damn 43k miles already?? i barely have around 25k on my 08 si nice vid

  • ive 51k+ now lol

  • Glad to hear it. From an 08 FA5 owner about to turn 30,000 : )

  • word!

  • what the fuck? You won't blow your engine doing this...

  • slow

  • Is that stock limiter at 9k? not bad

  • no stock limiter is 8000-8100, with the hondata reflash u get a new rev limit or 8600

  • the stock is 8500 but the engine can prolly handle more depending how much power its making

  • not safe to rev K20s in general pass 8200 with out upgrading the oil pump. It starves the head revving on a stock one. DESTROYING the whole engine in time

  • You're thinking 02-04 oil pumps cavitation issues. They were redesigned for the next gen although they kept the same part number.

  • That's very cool. I wasn't aware of the update on the 05/06's. So I could easily retrofit one. Not to doubt you but are you sure of this and where did you find out this information? According to Hytech, the stock pump doesn't cavitate until 8,700 rpm. That is one of the reasons the K20A Type-R motor is factory rev limited to 8,650 rpm, as I believe it used the same pump found in U.S. K20A2 motors. Pre-face lift Type R's that is.

  • 9000 rpm haha

  • 8600 u mean? :)

  • Where can you buy the hondata? cuz i want one for my 07 si

  • Lol! you dont just buy it at autozone silly. you have to ship your ecu into hondata and they'll reflash it for you. And it wont do squat if you are stock. You're better leaving your car stock if you do not even knnow this.

  • actually this isnt true for the 06-08 si. idk about the older ones though..

  • what isnt true?

  • The hondata reflash is about 600 bucks. The "warning" light people are asking about is the traction control, turned off.

  • did u have to buy a defouler

  • how much is an ECU???

  • i would also like to know?!?!

  • wen the lights on that meens the vsa is on not off

  • yeah the triangle is the vsa off light.

  • no the triangle meens its on

  • vtec's just bullshit max rev. no fuckin' tork

  • Question... did your car have any "rev hang" issues before the your reflash? If so did the reflash affect in any way?

  • yeah it did... not much at all though.. The reflash didnt change anything at all with rev hang.

  • YEAHHH BABYY!!! SPANK THAT 9! WOOO

  • fuck yeah maximum reving, thats how its done this car looks fast too.

  • vtec kicks ass

  • I saw your other videos. You have the best sounding 4 cylinder I have ever heard. On the march video when you make two passes what is the chirping sound? The tires, clutch? I am going to copy your mods when I upgrade my mods

  • it was the tires... I wasnt trying to churp to be honest. lol just kinda trying to get the exhaust sound on tape

  • Yoh! how much did you spend for the hondata ECU i am thinking of getting but i have no idea how much will it cost

  • reflash is ok. i have it on my 07 si.. it only boost mid range not top end even with higher revvs..its basically only good for daily driving not racing since ur in 7000 or higher during a race.. cost roughly $600

  • how much cost a hondata reflash and were i can get it? by the way niceeeeee rev.

  • If you want your K20 to last I would suggest NOT revving it past 8400 or so as anything above 8500 lack of proper and consistent oiling occurs. The oiling systems in these engines werent designed for those types of revs.

  • with valve springs you can rev k-series motors to 9grand all day. Friend has a bseries with cams and valve springs and fully tuneable ecu and revs to 9 all the time. Its all about how your motor is built. Granted i DONT rev to 8600 in every gear. just 1st.

  • oh my god 8600 rpm nd u drop to 7 i think ima cry I GOTS TO GET DA HONDATA REFLASH!!!

  • its just a short geared tansmission with a small engine ...

  • yea i noe but without the reflash the fuel cut off is at about 8300 or so ive tried maxing out each gear stock and got about up there before i felt it starting to lose force this dude wit da reflash is getttin it well past 8600 making my shifts at 8250 look minor.

  • 70 more days and i get my FA5!

  • does the cel come on/off cuz of the header or reflash?

  • not if you get a defouler for the second o2 sensor

  • WARE DID U BUY YOUR REFLASH??????????

  • jotech in garland tx.

  • wouldnt the engine reving that high put the head gaskets in danger, did you put in better gaskets and new head bolts?, I guess I really dont know what you would need or not.

  • The ecu is safe to run with Race header. Which you do get a new gasket with.

  • ahh I see

  • I thnk he means the actual head gasket...and the stock one is fine for those revs(the whole motor is fine with it)

  • thats it, thanks man

  • this vid gave me a hard on

  • damn i got 1 i wish i redline at 9 grand

  • this is my car, It runs really well with the hondata on it. allowing more fuel and advancing the cam angles help a lot. I bought CAI for it and installing friday. Hondata requires atleast the header.. enhancing every mod added even more than without it.

  • Why is your warning light on?

  • Looking at the mods listed in the video description, I'd imagine it's cause of his Racing Header; which deletes the catalytic converter.

  • does that make u lose power or can mess up your engine in any way?

  • The DC Sports Racing Header gives you quite a bit more power -- by deleting the cat and having resonance tuned exhaust runners -- and doesn't mechanically mess up your engine in anyway. As far as the computer altering the "mood" of the engine because of the lack of a cat I'm not sure. However, this header is not designed for road use as it does delete the cat which is illegal on the road. I won't go into a "sermon" here but"De-cat-ed" exhausts are highly poisonous and polluting.

  • i see thnx alot man for the info :P

  • Nope. The warning light is the VSA Light...you can have it off or on.

  • it's the traction control light, he turned it off for this vid

  • damn dude that badass

  • watching the needle go past redline makes me pop wood

  • do you feel a diffrence with the reflash?
