  • I dont know exactly but I would guess around 900-1000. Its all the little pieces that add up, Stainless valves and fittings, copper tubing for the heat exchanger and plumbing, the false bottom, burners, pump, thermometers etc. Kegs were free and I did all the cutting and welding. You could probably cut some costs and use brass valves instead of SS. The system brewed near 400 gallons last year and works like a charm, wouldnt change anything!

We put alot of time into the design of the system and have gotten 83% efficiency consistently:)...Our last batch we tried to make a barley wine and the recipe called for about 33lbs of grain, we learned that with that much grain we are more in the 74-75% range...other than that its worked flawlessly! Happy brewing!
