Great information. I often recommend that the lower jaw be loosened so it is out of the way of the sternocleidomastoids so they can lift the clavicles and the sternum and therefore the chest. This helps give one a good attitude.
I wish beathing through the nose (like I do, all the time) was the solution to most people's breathing problems. I think hyperventilation might be a bigger culprit. (I should consult with Donna Farhi's The Breathing Book). Needless to say, i have tons of jaw tension, even though I breathe through the nose and I do not hyperventilate much. Seems I use too much of my upper breathing muscles rather than the diaphragm bellowing out to lift the rib cage.
