aha this is a mod and the cars top speed is 330kph... my supra on shift 2 does 400kph... sounds like a crap mod to me :S

@walter010barbas You seem to be an expert. I mean... first... on a race track you normally don´t go for top speed but grip. Therefore aerodynamic drag is more important than top speed and so I made the settings according to this. Second: Related to the game itself: In Shift 2 you have more tuning options (drag/workstuning/streettuning­) and engine swap. All these features are not there in Shift 1. And... again... Setup for cornering, not topspeed.

@RapaFan Because its 1000 HP on the rear wheels. And as you can see on the symbols down right, I deactivated all driving aids except AntiLockBrakes. So... if I didn´t tune for corners, it would be even worse. You know... there was no way to achieve 1000HP without mods. So the suspensions also weren´t made for that amount of HP. So its not good, but the best you can achieve by going for full downforce and as much understeer you could get.

@Bounkass I already stated this in another comment. :D No, you are right, there was no real "Supra GTR". But this is a mod that tunes the Supra to 1000HP and the modder decided to call this mod "Supra GTR". Thats the whole secret. :D

@lentilsouper This was the name of the mod. :D So this car basically is a modded Supra with 1000HP and the modder named it "Toyota Supra GTR". You still can find it on w w w - nogripracing - com. :D

@speeddemon701 Yes, this is Need for Speed Shift 1. I just used a Camera Mod and this Supra. There is also a Toyota Supra as an official download. But this one is tuned to about 1000 HP which at least on the PC cannot be achieved by tuning the official Supra. Thats why I downloaded this mod. Or did I misunderstand something? :D

@Brixxlnator I recon You also used the Real GT v2.0b handling mod as well? Those handling physics rape most simulators. I use a DualShock 3 to drive in this game and I can only handle Real GT v1.1, 2.0b I loose control on most turns.

Hi there! I only used the Sharper Tires Mod from nogripracing / com and not the mod you mentioned. :D And the wheel I use is a Logitech G27. :D

This was the basic setup. And this is a modded Supra with 1000 HP. I did my best... moreover I am used to RaceOn and GTR Evo etc... and theres worlds between those games concerning physics and force feedback. But yeah... I could have used more practice with this car... on the other hand its only fun for a few laps as it just doesn´t handle as good as other cars do - basically because its made for top speed.

im tempted to post videos of me driving, i have overhaul mod + loads of graphics mods.

My NFS shift looks much better, i can share with you if you like.

But 6:30 is a testament to good driving, i haven't done the nurburgring that quickly yet

I couldn't get the supra GTR mod to work though :(

Thanks! But I can´t make my Shift 1 look better. :D My PC is not that good... so I had to turn down the graphics. For the Supra-mod I recommend you to browse the nogripracing . com forums and google for the "JoneSoft Generic Mod Enabler". This is what I used to get it work!

Yeah, I did not like the sounds as well in gerenal. They just sound too weak, too wrong and too artificial. But its quite fun to play... =D

@wiskimike Oh, personally I prefer RaceOn/GTR 2 /GTL and sometimes RBR more than Shift 1+2. Just sometimes my inner child comes out and whats to bling-bling tune some cars and put turbochargers on every screw. =D

Its in the eye of the beholder I guess. Its some personal feeling I share with aetechllc. But the time when it was released I think you could refer to the Supra as something like a "super car". It was just technology ahead of time...

THIS 1000 HP Supra is not buyable. Its a mod which you can download at nogripracing . com.

But before downloading this mod you need to install the official patches for Shift. Because the 2nd patch if i remember correctly had some new cars included - also a normal untuned Supra.

You don´t need to buy the car if you instal the patches - they are just transfered to your Garage.

Possibly it would but the "Döttinger Höhe" is not long enough - also it is the longest straight line in NFS Shift i think. Im sure I could go faster but I did not play around with the setup because i normally play with the "Overhaul Mod" and just tested the "Sharper Tires Mod"... So I just used the basic setup which doenst show the full potential of the car. Still its fun :P
