Seriously? I studied focused attention, concentration, memory, emotion and neural correlates (phD style) and much of the associated research and this surprises me. They must do it based on temperature changes in areas of the brain or ERPs or skin conductance (if this is based on autonomic nervous system response), but that is a poor read of emotion/thought, just like a mood ring doesn't really tell you that much. I have to think about this more deeply and look into it. Thanks for sharing this.
