  • This is a good video, but the language seems to be a little bit confused. When your cervix is 100% effaced, that does NOT mean that it's fully open. It means that it is paper thin. Fully open is 100% DILATED. You can be 100% effaced without being dilated at all, likewise you can be dilated a few centimetres without being fully effaced. I do really like these videos though :)
